Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I expect the Suns to avoid the play-ins.

I'm looking for them to finish in the top six in the Western Conference.
How is that overly optimistic?

They are the 4 seed right now. If we can't stay top 4 we most likely aren't doing anything in the playoffs either.

CP3 and DA = 1 of the big 3 maybe 1.5 since CP3 job will be easier now.
Will it though?

Defenses are going to leave him open more often now, and I for one don't have a lot of faith he will take advantage of the majority of those opportunities.

Isn't he shooting a career high from 3 this year? I remember hearing something like that. I don't see why he wouldn't take advantage of open looks and less pressure.

I've been in the trade Paul camp up until we added KD. I wouldn't have minded if he was dealt but I don't worry about him producing while he's out there with Book and KD.

DA or CP3? or both? I think CP3 can pretty easily get to his spot and hit that middie all day every day.
They have to guard CP3.

CP3 has been terrible at finishing at the basket and the midrange shot this year. I just don't want him shooting if at all possible, but smart coaches are going to make him.

Even though I doubt Paul and Shamet see those team option years but it’s crazy to see the Suns with the most committed salaries for 2025 & 2026.

Yet it still doesn't come close to Golden State's $201 million for 23/24. Holy cow!!!!! Besides you really think the Suns don't make major changes by that season if we don't win a title???

Ayton has such a low release point.
He's always had a flat shot. I think since he's taller, he can get away with it a bit. But the further out he gets, like the three point line, the less room for error and the worse his percentage is.

Just read Dario could get bought out? Hope he finds a home.

We could get Ibaka for a good cooking show and insider info on the Bucks.

This trade will propel Mikal into stardom. There will be a point where people are talking about him and Booker on the same level. Mikal is going to be ok.

Yeah I don’t think this is going to be a thing, but I guess anything is possible.

7 points the previous game he played

I think we’re gonna look at Mikal as the most overvalued Sun of all time.

Lets all move on and just be happy we have Kevin Durant but sad we had to lose Bridges and Johnson. We won’t know if we traded away future HoF players or if it was a good or bad move right now. Lets just be happy in the present and worry about tomorrow's problem tomorrow.

Whether we over paid or got a good deal or a fair deal.. lets be happy and see if our team can bring a title home.

This is getting ridiculous
It's not really. You watch. People will be talking about it and very soon. Part of the reason is that Mikal is playing for and EC team and those guys are always over-hyped. It's just the nature of the position Mikal is in right now.

BTW, I am not second-guessing this trade in the least. Just predicting how the hype will go.
