I'm surprised the Suns have been mentioned as a destination for Miles Bridges, but I'm not going to kick and scream if they go after him. Some other teams have been mentioned as well.

However, since his new court date is February 20th, after the trade deadline, it's risky business.

If the Suns are all-in on winning a championship, I can see where they would be interested. However, the court will ultimately decide.

I suspect the Suns will only pursue Bridges as a last resort, if they can't make another desirable trade. They might even look at free agents and buyouts as well.

After the season, the new CBA rules get even tighter.
Bridges has veto right to where he goes, so cost of trading for him is comparatively low.

Nba teams should know better than to put those clauses in contracts moving forward. It ensures you get pennies on the dollar for assets.

Kobe incident was not nearly as clear as Miles' incident(s). I find it plausible that Kobe had a one night stand or an affair, and the other party decided to make some money off of it. With Bridges, it's really not a "he said, she said" type of a thing- we know he beat the crap out of his partner in front of their kids, and then ended up doing more stupid stuff afterwards. I am not saying Kobe was squeaky-clean, but it's a bit different than what Miles did.
Except it's not. Kobe did cheat on his wife and ended up apologizing to the girl and sending her a ton of dough. If there was no guilt on his part it would have gone every differently.

He cheated on his wife but that was a pretty clear cash grab. There were too many holes in her story and the criminal charges were dismissed. Settling in civil court is fairly common if you have disposable income.

As far as fan health is concerned, is it best to watch first 3 quarters of a Suns
game and then read about outcome the next day?
If I was the type to throw objects at my TV, I'd be on my eighteenth TV by now.

It's really hard to become vested in this team right now.
You think they are turning a corner then realize they most definitely are not.

Yes, which is very different from beating the crap out of your significant other in front of your kids, and then throwing stuff at her car with the kids in the car.

This team is almost definitely destined for failure but it's all we have. But if everyone is completely healthy, we have an outside chance to win it all and embarrassing losses along the way will ultimately mean little to us.

We are an offense heavy team and our bench is often outclassed by opponent bench play, so nightly, we have almost no margin for error. When KD has one of his disinterested games or when Beal is playing injured or Nurkic is out, we don't have much of a prayer against mediocre and better teams.

Yes it's different. Doesn't make it any less heinous.

This team is a roller coaster. Just when you think they have things figured out they follow that up with one of the worst defensive performances of the year then follow that up with the most turnovers all season long. Then to add insult to injury Vogel mentions they have to get better at screening for Durant. Durant says..."nah that aint it". They need to figure this out quickly.

I want to see the rest. Because for example, Booker now has more than double the turnovers in the 4th quarter this year then he did all last season in the 4th quarter.

With the current team we have the kind of longshot we would have is if Kwahi, Jokic, and Tatum all suffered season ending injuries and we were perfectly healthy.

We have to get a real backup center and a wing who are real rotation players to have a real chance - and even then our chances will still not be good.

Does not surprise me at all.

His ISO play has actually been quite bad, because simply put he is not able to move around the court very well. He turns the ball over often and even if he doesn't lose it his ability to get to his spots is weak at best. He often settles for just trying to shoot over his defender.

We have so little to work with, I just don't believe we're going to be able to remake this team in any significant way.

Probably not.

I am thinking like a Bridges and Drummond is about the best talent we could realistically acquire and that is probably not good enough.

We need something. I am not convinced this team is ever going to be consistent. This team is going to be Jekyll & Hyde for the remainder of the season without some kind of change.

Holy crap, is that true?!?
I was off a little. He has not exceeded last years total but is very close. He is on pace to double that by end of season. It's not all on Booker though. If you look ad KD and Book they are just indicative of what is going on in the 4th quarter this year with this team. The Suns have the 3rd worst turnover percentage in the NBA. Only Utah and Detroit are worse.

2022-2023 - 4th quarter TOV = 25, Plus/Minus = +23

2023-2024 - 4th quarter TOV = 22, Plus/Minus = -14

Have we heard anything about who may potentially be on the buyout market this season? Other than just getting lucky and staying healthy I believe that's the best way for us to improve our bench.

Without some serious improvement or some clippers injuries I couldn't see us beating them in a seven game series right now. I would put more money on them sweeping. Denver… I think I would actually give us even money. I think we are just a tough matchup for them. The trade deadline and the playoffs should be quite entertaining this year. There are so many quality teams.

The Suns need to improve the depth on their roster if they hope to contend.

I agree, the Suns couldn't beat the Clippers in a 7 game series as presently constructed.

Here are some trade ideas presented by Gerald Bourguet in the linked article below.

Bizmack Biyombo seems like a realistic free agent option.
