Some intriguing aspects to this game tonight.

Jason Kidd (6-4) vs. Stephon 6-2). This is always a fun matchup. They give each other fits. They are two of the strongest pg's in the game.

Penny (6-7, 220) vs. Kittles (6-5, 190). My preference would be to start Casey here, but that probably won't happen. Will Penny play D on Kittles. I have a feeling we will be hearing Kittles' name way too often tonight.

Shawn (6-7, 215) vs. Jefferson (6-7, 222). I think Shawn is a little heavier than 215 right now. This is also an intriguing matchup. Shawn might have some fire after last night. If he play's like he has the last 10 games Jefferson will cause Shawn some problems.

JJ (6-8, 235) vs. K-Mart (6-9, 230) JJ is bigger and stronger than most of us realize. He's also a good defender. I like this match up defensively. JJ could cause K-Mart some problems on offense as well. He can make him run all over the place.

Jahidi (6-9, 290) vs. Collins (7-0, 260). Give Jahidi the start tonight. Jake likes coming off the bench. I'd feed the post early. The Nets have nothing of substance at center. This is a game where I would have loved to play Amare at center.

Believe it or not, our best matchup advantage in this game is at the 5. Will we exploit it?

That third personal foul on Joe Johnson was nonsense.

I'll be watching football in a minute, so I'm taping the game. I can't wait to get the digital recorder from Cox. Does anybody have it yet? If so, have some questions for you.

Also, does anyone have dish network?

Great game so far for the Suns. Sounds like they're moving the ball alot better. And playing with alot more determination.

Great chase by Casey on Kidd just then...

I have the DVR (SA8000) from Cox.

Not a bad showing by the Suns so far. The need to clamp down on Defense down the stretch here.

Well they have a good chance at a couple more wins.

They just have to move and attack the basket on offense.

Suns need to get the Nets back when they come here.

Good effort, but terrible finish in the end. We stopped attacking and they got all the calls in the end, and it was a parade to the freethrow line.

Nice game by JJ after his 'breakout performance'

Just good to see Marion coming back to life. He did a good job in that 4th qtr comeback. scoring and rebounding.

We missed Amare tonight.

Even though we lost this one, we're slowly turning this season around. Much much better effort... though still we struggle to execute down the stretch.

Most of you almost had me convinced but IMO defense wins games and with Penny starting - leads of close to 30, 20, and 15 in 3 games by opponents. Penny is a good offensive player but doesn't have defensive ability to start on team with Marbury, Marion, and Stoudemire all avg. over 15 PTS. I'd rather see a line-up of:

Barbosa
Jacobsen
Penny

on bench, Penny can play Point-Forward and defend most SF's more-so than SG's or PG's and be offensive spark more than JJ IMO anyways...

I think penny played defense pretty good. I don't get to watch most of the suns games but he looked fine to me. I can only remember two instances when he missed his assignment and that was because he was in the wrong place on the defensive set. He got it right thereafter. I think the team as a whole played really good defense they just couldn't make shots during crunch time. The nets were hitting a lot of shots the whole game. They spent a lot of energy comming back and in the end tey were empty. The nets also played really good defense. Small ball also hurt them because they weren't getting enough rebounds and the nets started taking advantage of the CJ v. Kmart matchup. I do like small ball however because the suns are just quicker and more aggressive. The suns down't play well with a traditional center because their half court set mainly leads to jump shots. They need someone tall strong and quick in the middle to defend the hoop and get rebounds. Amare would have been perfect for taht position. Little Jake did ok but he gets called for every foul. its a shame.

The shooting guards weren't hitting any shots but they were doing other things. CJ had some great rebounds. Penny was playing point most of the game and he calmed the team down and had a few nice plays. Barbosa was playing more of a shooting guard position and he had a few hustle plays. I'm sorry but JJ looked like a rookie out there. I was hoping he would have played more during the 4th quarter because he would have been better guarding kmart than cj was but cj was playing well.

Marbury played well as all ways excet for a few dumb passes towards the end but he didn't force too many shots. Well not as many as I thought he would. Marion had a really really good game. He looked really confident out there and he was pretty much doing everything.

Maybe the susns shouldn't have washed their jersies after yesterdays win. i wonder how many of them actually washed they're jersies after yesterdays win. I hope you guys actually read this post.

I don't understand how JJ can go from averaging 40 minutes per game to playing 17 minutes off the bench. What is going through FJ's head? There seems to be no rhyme or reason for anything he does.

I'm not saying I want JJ to play many more minutes, but he should be out there at least 20+, and the main point is this: Just because JJ isn't starting doesn't mean he can't still get more than 17 minutes. Why was FJ giving JJ 40 minutes a game 3 games ago, and now, pretty short-handed, only giving him less than 20? There must have been a reason he had to give him so much before (defense, I guess...?) but yet he completely ignores it now. We wouldn't have this huge shooting guard dilemma if there wasn't such a desparagement between the starter and the bench player.

Are you serious? Are you actually blaming those huge defecits on Penny Hardaway? Seriously??

I think it was because Joe Johnson got into foul trouble early on in the game.

Was one of them when he threw the ball to the scorers table with no Suns players around?

Yeah, taht one was wierd I couldn't see from the camera angle who he was throwing to. I know u know which passes I was talking about though. Actually he had 4 great passes 2 of them made the highlights. I'm a big fan so it is should be understandable that the things taht he does amazes me a lot more than it would u guys.

Penny did have some nice passes, but he also made his stupid turnovers. Marbury made some stupid passes also. I think he took some lessons from Penny because he kept jumping in the air then trying to pass and turned it over every time.

I don't get why the Suns work so damn hard to get back into a game and get the lead and then just start shooting 3's.

A few of those threes were really good looks. CJ clanked one that would have tied the game and Penny missed two more that would have kept them in the game towards then end. Thats was pretty much when they started jacking them up. They really had soem good looks i was on the edge of my seat. I almost choked on my cornflakes. I wish I could watch them play more often. The lakers are aslo really fun to watch.

It was just real bad coaching. The players didn't know what to do on the floor at the both end even after a full timeout. Instead the ball was like a hot potato, everyone just wanted to get rid of the ball as soon as they touch it. On defense, they either left shooters wide open or let Jefferson and Martin cutting to the basket at will.

I don't understand why they play zone defense all night. They got beaten by open jump shots, back door passes and almost every possible way to beat a zone defense by the Nets.

And I also noticed the double teaming Joe has been complaining. They would just double team anyone who gets the ball in the post. Martin I can undertand, but why double William? They sure look like they are used to double team every time and treat everyone like Duncan.
