One of the fans was trying to take a selfie with TJ Warren when he went down on the floor in the first half.

He was scrambling to get out of there.

The Suns are playing so sloppy right now and the Mavericks are shooting the lights out.

This was a painful 3rd quarter to watch. The Suns trail 88-76.

There was no cohesion whatsoever.

Devin Booker was the Suns offense in the second half but he couldn't do it alone. He scored 39 points.

Bledsoe did not have any hops tonight. At times it looked like his shoes were glued to the floor.

Final: Mavericks 113 Suns 108.

Mexico thinks Booker is the next Kobe.

He certainly looked like it in the 4th quarter. The Suns had nothing else going. Maybe Booker should have taken the game in his hands earlier in the game.

I don't know know why Bledsoe took just 4 attempts.

It's games like these that keep Bledsoe from being a star. He has too many of them. No consistency to his game or else he'd be considered a star PG as well.

As I mentioned Bledsoe did not seem to have any hops tonight hitting only 2-4 from the field. He tried to get his points from the FT line (7-7) by creating contact but after awhile the Mavericks caught on. I don't know what was going on but he didn't look athletic tonight.

I am more happy with a loss, and Booker seeming to get back on track, than with a win with Tucker and Chandler leading the way.

15 Assists 19 Turnovers

Until we get that fixed we will continue to lose games.

You are correct.

As the stats indicate, the Suns were very sloppy with the ball. Booker had 7 turnovers and Bledsoe had 4.

Although Ulis went scoreless in 6 minutes, I think he could help the Suns through these droughts of stagnation if he were to receive regular minutes.

You would think that having a former PG as our head coach that would be one of strengths but for sure not one of our weaknesses.

By having more assists and less turnovers you should receive more shots as well as better shots at the basket.

After all the game is determined by which team score the most points.

I think the Suns will be a much better team once they trade Knight. He doesn't fit in the scheme of things. If they can clear up the back-court, I'm hoping the Suns will play better as a team. This may be wishful thinking on my part. For some reason the ball does not move like it should. I'm getting so tired of the drive and kick.

I agree, it's the obvious response but I think it probably had a lot to do with playing at 7000ft.

Or maybe he doesn't like spicy food? Jet lag?

I'm trying to think of more excuses for my guy but I can't lol.

Last night was a bummer because I watched the first half and we were playing so well! Then I got distracted with work for a bit and came back into the living room and we were down like 13 right away... :(

Booker in the 4th was nuts. He's going to be a Jason Richardson type of scorer where some nights he disappears, but other nights he is flat out unstoppable.

All your responses are possible regarding Bledsoe not having a good game but I'm sticking to the glue theory. :D

Booker usually doesn't disappear entirely in a game. However, he went crazy last night scoring down the stretch. I'm thinking Watson gave Booker the ultra green light and told him it's your game to win. Don't bother passing.

Toronto does not pass the ball very much and a lot of their offense is dependent on DeRozan and Lowry going one on one. However they do not turn it over much either. There are very effective with this style of play.

I am with you and much prefer an offense that shares the ball. We actually do that on occasion and it is fun to watch. Unfortunately a lot of our good passes end up in an open shot for Tucker, which he generally bricks. A lot of times those bricks turn into a fast break going the other way. Again why does he get so much court time?

I want to buy into Ulis, but I really fear he is too small to be consistently effective going forward. He certainly should see the court more with this current group. He has been good friends and teammates with Booker at Kentucky but we hardly ever see them on the court together, or so it seems.

The most popular fix is to dump Knight and draft one of the PG's in the upcoming draft, preferably Ball out of UCLA.

Watson gets credit for a lot of things but he has obviously has not made ball movement a priority.

Toronto is toward the low end in assists but their TO rate is correspondingly low so they wind up right in the middle of Asst/TO ratio. We, on the other hand have the lowest Asst/TO in the league (tied w. Brooklyn). 15/19 is an abberration even for us but it does emphasize how much improvement we need. Sadly it is not just Knight dragging us down - almost everyone has a low A/TO compared to the average for their position. IMO, Watson's offense has a good bit to do with that.

How can Knight have a +7. I didn't think he played well going 1-6.
All that means is that the Suns did well while Knight was on the floor this game. He wound up with a +2.

That is probably the most overrated stat in the game of basketball.

I was able to watch the first half and wondered why Los Suns (who were identified as the home team) used their road uniform -- the purple one -- while the Mavs used their home whites.

This is why I mentioned it. I've never been a fan of this stat.

I always want the home team (Suns) to wear white but I guess I'm old fashioned. I don't like the home team to wear their solid color uniforms at home.

I actually like the stat (or any of the adjusted versions) quite a bit but it's useless for any one game. And even over an extended period of time, it can be misleading.

Does anyone here know if Bledsoe has asthma or something like that? He just seems to struggle often in altitude and he a waste of space last night.
