Wednesday, 7:00pmat JazzTV: NBALP, UPN 45 Preview

This is going to be a hard game for the Suns to loose. But Boozer is one player I would be scared about changing the game from a blow out to a close game. The Jazz are depleted team right now no Raja Bell, AK47, Matt Harpering, or Jarren Collins. This is a good game to play for a back to back game.

If you can't see the game in person join us on the live chat during every game.

This is a trap game. 4th game in 5 nights. On the road. After the starters played over 40 minutes each (except Nash) the night before in a high stakes game.

I think we lose this one.

Absolutely no way..........!
The suns will win this by 10-15 points and the bench will play in the 4th, unlike last night.

If it was the Sonics or the Kings or the Mavs, I might agree with you--but not the Jazz.

I don't know if we lose this one, but I think it is going to be a tougher match up than anticipated. It is a classic trap game.

i am in utah and let me tell you, the only way that the suns can lose this game is if they come in and do what the spurs did the other night, think that can turn it on at any time and still win.

with no ak 47, and no harpering (i dont know why this guy has given the suns so many problems over the years) i really have no fear.

There's NO WAY Suns would lose to Jazz. No matter how well Jazz plays.

The only way we lose this game is if we slack off again like in late December (but we still won games).

I don't want Suns to slack off, not on the toughest road trip. Jazz is struggling and Suns should show NO MERCY. If Suns thinks they can just "walk" through the game, it will haunt them down when they play against Spurs again.

We need all the confidence we need to fight Spurs on the 21st, so PLEASE don't slow down even against Jazz.

In fact, I hate this game. Suns' defense and confidence are so high now and playing against a losing team will only develop bad habits. I wish we could play Spurs tomorrow.... one day rest after Heat and then beat the hell out of them.

But instead, we meet Spurs after a tough road trip. Damn...

I also find it funny that everyone is so worried about Boozer, when we just played Shaq on a superior team last night and blew them out of the water... :D

Boozer is much more active on the boards and that is were the Suns have let teams back into the game. I am not saying we loose to them but it could make it close instead of blowing them out. I hope to see Lampe in the game and Barbosa as well.

It will be almost impossible for the Suns to come out with the same energy and focus as they showed in the first quarter against the Pacers and Heat. The quality of those efforts was extraordinary.

I think the game will be uncomfortably close most of the way, but the Suns will survive in the end.

Even with AK, the Jazz have a problem matching up with the Suns as evidenced by the preseason game in Utah where the Suns won 108-67. The Jazz are simply too slow to play at the Suns pace.

In any case, the Jazz did not play very good defense against the Spurs since the Spurs hit 54.1% from the field. but missed 11 free throws. The Jazz defense without AK has not been good this season as opponents shoot an average of 45.6% and 38.3% for three.

One odd statistic is that the Jazz are second worst in the NBA in having their own shots blocked at 5.86 bpg. Phoenix is the eigth best shot blocking team with 5.74 bpg. The Jazz make most of their points in close.

This is relevant because while the Jazz have a very good shooting percentage at 46%, their three point shooting is ranked 26th at only 32.9%. They have made only 98 of 298 three point shots. Opponents hit 210 of 548 for three.

The Jazz are very inconsistent shooting threes. They hit 4 of 8 against the Spurs, 4 of 7 against the Bull, 5 of 8 against the Grizzlies, and 3 of 5 against the Clippers.

On the other hand, they hit only 3 of 12 in Milwaukee, 5 of 15 against Philadelphia, 3 of 13 against the Rockets, 4 of 11 against the Kings,

Best guess is the Suns will pack the paint and try to make the Jazz shoot jumpers.

This is absolutely a trap game for the Suns. Of course, they haven't lost a trap game all year. :D Besides, the Jazz' recent win over the Spurs will definitely get the Suns' players' attention.

The good thing is, the Jazz are hurting and they don't match up with the Suns at all. This will probably be a much more physical game than the Suns would prefer, but I see them building a lead early and comfortably covering the spread, er, winning by double digits.

It would be nice to have a big game from Steven Hunter tonight, to offset the Okur onslaught coming off Utah's bench. :p

F-dog, good point on the Spurs, or at least it gives D' something to harp on during shoot around today.

I'd rather be playing a better team - we'd take it more seriously. D' may have to do some reaching into his bench tonight.

I was watching NBA tv a bit ago and they were interviewing a columnist for the Jazz about Arroyo. Peter Vescey had the most hilarious Suns quote of the year (imho) during that interview. They asked the columnist about tonight's opponent. He said that there was little chance for the Jazz to upset two top teams in a week's time, and Peter Vescey responds with, "Yeah, don't look now, but the Suns are already up 15."

One game that I wouldn't touch. Not that I bet for/against PHX anyways ;)

Hard game to figure.

I'm still thinking PHX covers.
