I'm trilled now. This is probably the happiest day in a year for me. So, no problem, bash me for lack of confidence on our boys.

GREAT WIN!

I'm not going to pretend I expected the Suns to win. But I did think it was possible, even if it wasn't likely. I thought the Suns showed major progress against the Raptors, being able to keep up the tempo and the offensive efficiency without Nash, so I was hoping they could at least be competitive.

There's a reason the games are played. Expecting a win wasn't realistic, but ruling it out completely was even less so.

never would have called this one. winning a game w/o nash. winning it w/o amare too. winning it against the team with the best record that's owned us for some time? never would have called it. never would have happened w/ porter. and shaq looks like he's getting younger. impressive.

I thought/believed Shaq would not play well, maybe not even play much, after that 45 points in 35 minutes with only 1 day of rest. I would put my money on that before this game ... I'm ashamed ... I swear, I've been a Shaq fan for over 15 years, and I didn't know he can do that at age of 37. Maybe he is really superman.

A great team effort! A huge game and clutch shooting for Barnes! Hill and J.Rich both played team basketball, hardworking on defence and let go the shots. Barbosa looks better and better running the point! Dudley and Amundson are proving themselves to be dependable backups.

BRAVO!

This win could have been by much more if the refs hadn't wanted the Lakers to win...seriously! I thought we were getting mugged alot with no calls the NBA refs are a freakin joke! Kobe in particular is allowed to foul repeatedly with very few calls he could have fouled out of this game in the 3rd if the refs actually called all the fouls he commits christ. Whatever we overcame it and won anyway shorthanded without 2 of our top players!

You cant hate on Van Gundy!

He speaks the truth

To each their own. I think Van Stumpy is a grade A tool. I am ecstatic that he is not the Sun's coach.

Now, his brother Ron Jeremy is a pretty good coach...

Lakers fans in Phoenix are the worst.

Agreed. It's aggravating as hell seeing half the arena full of Laker fans, especially Kobe fans.

Great win by the Suns to quiet them down! :)

True, but Kobe got the ultimate comeuppance with the accidental LB elbow to the chops. He suddenly stopped swinging his elbows and groping for Grant Hill's jock strap after that hit.

Karma lives (well, at least occasionally in the NBA - land of superstar rules and league-office favorites).

This reminded me of the good old days when Kobe would chuck, go for 50 and lose.

Completely delusional. You cant even enjoy a well deserved victory without whining about the refs. I wont even go into all the calls that went the Suns way because it just doesn' matter. You deserved the win cause you outplayed the Lakers. But to whine about the refs after a victory and fouls called 32 to 19 in your favor is just plain delusional! :bang:

Your right cobbler like Tim Duncan...Kobe never commits a foul, your the delusional one did you even watch the game? Kobe got away with fouling REPEATEDLY even the announcers were saying that was a foul, and the announcers might as well been Laker fans they could barely pull their heads out of the Lakers' asses long enough to try and do play by play! Take your Laker BS elsewhere your team got beat even with the refs helping you and us missing 2 STAR players!

There were at least 3 noncalls that would have been called if a Suns player did it:

2 elbows in succession against Richardson.

Reach in on Grant Hill that even had the commentators shaking their heads.

The dude, along with D.Wade and Lebron, get away with A LOT because they are SUPERSTARS.

Hell, Shaq used to get away with some stuff, but it seems now he can barely touch a guy without being called for a foul and a man can basically rape him and get nothing.

Officials are biased, even if they won't admit to it.

You could save this paragraph (insert stars name) and over the next thirty years apply it to every game a multitude of super stars play in and I bet it hits 100%.

great game.

this would have been a blow out if we made our free throws.

score should have been around 110-130.

A little bitter are we? :D

Way to enjoy a nice victory by your team!

Fouls go both ways... there are bad calls both ways... and superstars on ALL teams get preferential treatment. Shaq got just as many as Kobe did. Nash gets them. Did you see the foul that Lamar fouled out on? They miss them. It happens. You have to lighten up. The fouls were 32 -19 guy. You got 13 more calls. Enjoy your win and stop crying.

BTW... great game by Shaq.

Kobe > LeBron.

Yep, that's what I contributed to this thread....

It WAS satisfying to see Kobe Bryant, known throughout the league for "clearing space" with flying elbows, take one right in the chops.

Van Gundy saying "the great ones create space" is acknowledging the perpetuation of different rules for different players. When "the great ones" do it, it's not a foul. On one possession, Bryant fouled Richardson at least twice.

It was great to see some come-uppance.
