3rd quarter is over, and no thread for this game?

The Suns are struggling, Q left after 5 minutes with a sprained ankle,
Amare had 1 point after 3 quarters, and Luke Walton is owning us... :D

91-89 Lakers as of now..

I don't think I have ever seen a team have so many wide open 3's in my entire life. Nice shooting to finish off a surprisingly motivated Laker squad.

And this game is a great example of why this team would have never been a contender if Jacobsen was still the 6th man.

I thought they would lose this game. Nice to see them pick up their D at the end. The 108-97 score is definately not indicative of the game.

Same here. It looked like mid way thru the 4th that Kobe will take over and we will most likely lose, but defense picked up in the end and pulled out a big W.

solid gut-check win. Amare was completely out of it - Q goes down(anyone know how severe the injury is?) but we manage to gut out a very important win.

Pretty nice for me and Ouchie to walk out of Staples twice this year with our heads held high. Nice win boys - now take care of business at home!

Oh - any update on Duncan coming back? I thought I read he was due back sometime this week, but I could be wrong.

Q has a sprained ankle

I know that - I'm wondering if it's serious or not? What grade? Will he be back for Friday's game?

Didn't seem too bad. He walked back to the lockerroom without any help and didn't seem too distraught by it all. Initially it looked like he got kicked in the calf more than landing on it wrong. We'll know more tomorrow, but I highly doubt it is anything to lose sleep over.

glad to hear that q doesn't look to bad. when he hobbled down to the other end of the court on his own i figured it shouldn't be too bad.

man did we stink tonight. if not for our barrage of 3s we would have gotten killed. amare just looked completely distracted the entire game.

anyone else want to complain about the deal that brought jjax here? dude stepped us serious tonight.

that's one down and 4 more Ws we need to secure homecourt (imho).

staples center was a stressful place. i thought cheese was gonna yank a thunderstick away from a five year old and shove it down his throat by the end of the game (kid must've hit cheese in the face with the stick at least 3 times - dad did nothing - nice parenting - friggin' lakers' fans . . . ).

seriously on that parenting note. The kid kicked the girl in front of us in the head at least three times also, but I NEVER heard the Dad say or do anything to stop him from being a menace(to tell the truth - at one point I had this vision of the Sunbs losing in heartbreaking fashion and actually saw myself picking the kid up and literally throwing him down the stairs... I have problems.)

Also want to echo the point on the JJax trade - it's mad eour season. Thank the lord Casey and the other stiffs are gone off this team and we have a vet like Jackson to step in when crucially needed. IN both of his games where Q's gone out injured, he's stepped up HUGE(in Seattle and tonight).

Doesn't seem too bad... Don't know if he will play tomorrow or not.

Phoenix's Quentin Richardson sprained his left ankle in the first quarter and didn't return.

"He said it feels pretty good, but I don't know if that means tomorrow or if that means next week,'' D'Antoni said about Richardson's availability.

Well, it doesn't help that we are 7-16 from the foul line. WTF??? That's only 43%!!!! If we can make a bit more, this would be a 10pt W easily.

We can't shoot foul shot like that. Amare is so inconsistent. He can go 8/10 one night and 2/8 another night. Man.

Well, that just proves that we do have some depth on our bench. :) I actually thought Jim Jackson should have played more against the Rox the other night. He is awesome!

Considering Amare foul very early foul trouble (4 fouls in 14 mins!!!) and Q was out, I thought this is a pretty good win against a very motiviated Lakers (yeah right). lol

Wow the defense was horrible last night. Luke Walton was destroying us and even hasbin Atkins was driving at will on us. And what's w/ that awful defensive overplaying of a player to one side. The only thing that saved us was the Lakers missing 3, 3 pointers in a row. Thank God for 3 point shots and Jimmy Jackson's clutch shot.

I quit watching the game in the 3rd period to finish my taxes, convinced we would lose again. Dumb.

As anyone on this board will tell you, I'm incessantly negative about everything, so much so that even unicorns take deadly poison in order to avoid being accidentally exposed to another one of my posts. Even so, I was quite confident in the Suns all evening long.

Why? Because the home team almost always loses a Ceremony Game.

Damn tornado season.

Just got back online and missed it all. Sounds like I didn't miss much of a game. Glad we won.
