The return of Marcus Morris of course

Marcus with some new comments prior to the game

https://twitter.com/azcsports/status/662437156221263873
Marcus told Detroit reporters that he felt “disrespected the entire time I was in Phoenix."

“I’m not really looking forward to playing against my brother,” Marcus said in Detroit. “I’m looking forward to playing against the Suns.”

Markieff is apparently battling an "illness" and may the game against the Pistons and his brother because of it. The timing of this "illness" is...interesting.

If Kieff does miss the game, I hope it's Leuer and not Teletovic that gets the start vs Detroit.

I think Chandler staying out of foul trouble and containing Drummond will be key to get this win.

I will be at this game in the lower level and boo this 6'9" infant every time he touches the ball.

Hope the Suns show him what disrespect really looks like.

"I am not looking forward to playing against my brother" said no sibling ever prior to this.

This is a tricky situation though. They are still twin brothers. Its OK for Marcus to hate the Suns as much as he wants but the Suns hating him might strain an already fragile relationship with Keef.

Marcus deserves whatever he gets from the Suns or the fans. You cant spout off and not expect repercussions. Besides, I want Kieff to force the Suns the trade him. A nice trade pkg would include Kieff, Goodwin and the big stiff (Len) for Brook Lopez. Hey, A guy can dream, right?

One person's dream is another's nightmare. Why would we want to pay 21 million a year for a player that rarely plays anything close to a full season and is a horrible rebounder for his size. And plays a position that we already have covered? And why would we want to give up Len?

Why in the world would you dream that? That is one of the most lopsided trades ever suggested on this forum.

Fine. You don't like Len. But think logically here. If the Suns value Archie enough to exercise his option, how high do you think they value Len? I'm guessing he's as close to untouchable as you can get without actually being called untouchable.

He is just jealous that the Suns wanted to keep Kief and get rid of him because he is no where near the talent level Kief is. Hope he gets shut out and nonstop heckled tonight (clean heckling though)

Brook has average 20-8 in his last ten games. Nothing wrong with that.
I have no idea why the love affair with Len? The guy is also oft-injured, doesnt rebound for his size, has next to zero offensive game... unless he dunks, gets pushed around by more physical players (see Clippers). Foul & TO prone. I expect him to get eaten alive tonight if Horny plays him longer than 7 mins.
Why wouldnt we give him up?

Oft-injured? Other than his first season, he's been perfectly fine. You must be watching a different player because most of what you are saying simply isn't true.

Chap, I agree that trade would be horrible for the Suns and I wouldn't want Brook Lopez on the Suns.

That said, and as a Len fan, I know you can't seriously be saying that Len is an untouchable or close to it.

I don't know if even Bledsoe or Knight are untouchables, much less Alex freaking Len.

Yes, I say that DESPITE the promise he showed in the game vs the Kings.

Are you seriously kidding? He may not be untouchable to you, or to a lot of fans on this board, but to the Suns? Come on, if you don't think the Suns organization thinks that highly of him, you're not paying attention.

Len is the future. One of the best young big men in the history of the franchise. I don't understand how he is injury prone. He had a sprained ankle last year and there haven't been any indications of problems with his issue at Maryland he had surgery to correct.
He needs to get stronger and not hesitate so much on his shot and not pick up tickey tack fouls but that will come.
I wouldn't trade him for Lopez straight up right now.

Yes and he's had several great 10 game stretches but he's had plenty of mediocre stretches too. The past several years of his career can only be called a huge disappointment. And he can't take the court with Chandler. So one has to back up the other, tolerable when the backup is a young, still developing, low salaried big man like Alex.

And Len is so much better of a rebouder than Lopez that I have no idea why you'd even bring it up (per 36 numbers, 10.7 to Brooks 8.1). The same goes for your "injury prone" comment. Have you even looked at the number of games Lopez has missed? This is a horrible trade. I wouldn't mind having Brook at the right price but this is nowhere near the right price.

I'd trade Len in a heartbeat for the right player. So far in his career he's had brief stretches where he looked like a future star but he's had far too many stretches where he just looks outmatched. But you don't have a lot of success in the league giving up on 22 year old legit big men simply because they haven't hit their stride yet. Trade him for good value if it comes our way but I wouldn't just give up on him for at least 3 more seasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if Markieff does not play tonight. If not, Leuer should start at PF. Maybe the Suns show off a Chandler/ Len lineup for a few minutes. It would be a good time for Mirza to get his game going.

Actually, I am not so sure about that. He is a better outside shooter.

I would agree with most of this. I just wouldnt waste time with him for another 3 years. A #5 pick overall shouldnt be a project player.
