It's just way too early to make these determinations about Len. I would not trade him straight up for Lopez for a number of reasons including contract, potential, the presence of Chandler and more.

I would agree with most of this. I just wouldnt waste time with him for another 3 years. A #5 pick overall shouldnt be a project player.

Every early entry pick is a project player of sorts. Good grief, even Wiggins is taking time to develop. It's just a statement that is unrealistic.

He was number 5 in a notoriously bad draft, not your typical number 5. We knew he was more project than player. He didn't start playing the game until his middle teen years and he missed some critical time due to injury/surgery. But he has shown great promise, to not put in the time to develop him is shortsighted.

And, the biggest caveat, he's a big man! Unless they are transcendent, no big man is a star for at least a couple years--and with Len, his first year shouldn't even be counted.

I agree a trade would be problematic with Chandler on the Suns roster. If a trade were made with the Nets it would make more sense to include Chandler with Markieff instead of Len. The Suns would need a player willing to backup Lopez whereas Chandler would want to start. It also would make more sense in regard to salaries. Of course the Suns might have to throw-in picks to make it more attractive long term.

Anyway it is all conjecture. I'm not really sure how this thread got into trade mode.

I wouldn't be surprised if Markieff does not play tonight. If not, Leuer should start at PF. Maybe the Suns show off a Chandler/ Len lineup for a few minutes. It would be a good time for Mirza to get his game going.

If Teletovic is forced into playing quality minutes, we probably lose. Even if his shot's falling, I'd assume Pistons will just give the ball to whoever he's guarding and tell that player to attack and score.

The only way Teletovic can stay on the court is to score. If he is hot, he can run off a lot of points. He is more of a spot situation player. If the Suns are short a PF, I look for Tucker to get some time there as well.

It looks like Markieff will play tonight. It will be interesting to see the interaction between the two players.

Hornacek said there are no limitations on Markieff Morris for #SunsVsPistons tonight after missing Thursday's practice for illness.

Being "sick" so you don't have to play against your brother would be one of the lamest DNPs in the history of the league.

It looks like it is not going to happen.

I think most brothers go out of their way to beat their brother in a game. Somehow it just brings out the competitive juices especially when they are matched up against each other.

I fully expect Marcus to deliver a cheap shot on someone tonight, just hope our guys are ready for it.

And if the fans boo the hell out of Marcus (which they should) I think Markieff might end his current bout of professionalism and go back into whiny POS mode.

I don't. Neither of the Morrisses is a tough, physical player. They posture as such, and for some reason Markieff has gotten people to refer to him as strong and athletic, but both brothers are below average by NBA forward standards. I wouldn't put a cheap shot past either of them, but they are cowards at heart.

I agree, they do not play tough, the comparisons people have made to Rasheed are laughable. The only thing the Morris twins have in common with Sheed is a propensity for stupid Ts. But we've seen them dish out some cheap shots, like Markieff laying out Dragic last year. They're not "tough" but they are petty, stupid and wreckless... which in their mind probably equals toughness.

I know Tyson has balled out for us so far but tonight's gonna be his toughest challenge yet.

If he can contain Drummond, that would be huge. Len will need to help too.

I would say Kieff should help as well but I doubt it...he had 2 rebounds last game against the Cousins-less Kings. Tucker's gotta crash boards as well.

If we can keep Drummond to around 10-12 rebounds, that's probably a success.

Another way to stop Drummond will be by getting him in foul trouble with our guards attacking him. Its unlikely this happens since he's such a great defender but maybe....

Are you seriously kidding? He may not be untouchable to you, or to a lot of fans on this board, but to the Suns? Come on, if you don't think the Suns organization thinks that highly of him, you're not paying attention.

if they thought that highly of him, I'm not sure they'd pay someone else a boatload of money who would then put his ass on the bench.

I don't think the kid is untouchable at all. No one on this team should be.

Len may not be untouchable but I can't see him going for anything less than All Star. And not some tired old Lopez either.

Len obviously isn't a player you'd chuck into a trade all willy nilly, and I actually agree that I wouldn't trade him straight up for Brook Lopez, but its mostly because I have a very low opinion of Brook Lopez (Lopez is crazy overpaid and crazy overrated). However, there is no way he is untouchable or only available for a true star. I think Len is on his way to being a solid backup or mediocre starting center. There is real value in a player like that, not value enough to land an all-star straight up, but I think the Suns would absolutely be willing move him as part of a larger deal.
