Suns are playing the Rockets very well. Amare has done a great job on the boards.

i'd like to add, Joe Johnson i think is amazing. To me, he's one of the premiere shooting gaurds in the league and you have to remember how young the guy is and with that in mind, how good he's going to be. Whatever it takes JJ needs to be re signed this offseason to a LONG contract.

He'll be an allstar before he retires.

also, Marion should be all Defensive 1st team EDIT - And All NBA 1st Team.

He's had a sensational season.

:)

Go Suns!

... 56 wins for the season!

Nice win for the Suns.

Another slowdown, physical type game and the Suns pull it out.

Thank goodness for Marion, his burst in the 3rd was huge and Jackson early in the fourth picked up the slack.

The Suns were lucky to some extent becuase McGrady and Yao didn't look 100% but they don't make the schedule. You have to play the teams when you are scheduled to play them.

Keep the pressure on Suns. Best record and HCA here we come.

what's up with amare being so passive the past couple games? he's going out of his way to pass sometimes. i love the growth, but he's also our one unstoppable force in the middle, and sometimes he needs to force it.

Passive? Passive? Were talking about passive?

You might want to check Amare's numbers again. 14 boards, numerous blocks/D stops on Yao, and 5 fouls. He did what some of you have been crying about all year long.

His offensive #'s were low, because he didn't try and force it over Yao like last game between the two. That's called a good adjustment and helluva coaching job.

Houston tried to run and take quick shots, and got their butt whooped because of it.

I missed the game, but it looks like we took Tmac out of it....that or he took himeself out of it.

This is why I prefer a Rockets series than a Mavericks one. They need both Yao and Tmac to be clicking in order to win. Their role players cannot pick up the slack.

With Dallas, if Dirk has an off night, there are just so many weapons that they can still score 120 on you. Much like how the Suns have other people pick it up when Amare has a slow offensive night.

With Dallas, Dirk always has an offnight vs. the Suns. Dallas just can't surprise us with their steady play. In contrast, when both TMac and Ming are on we can be more easily thrown out of sync. I'd rather face Dallas than Houston in the playoffs.

McGrady scored 28 on Phoenix in the last meeting but was 6 for 21 on Sunday.

"I feel like I'm 40 years old," McGrady said. "I have tendinitis in both of my knees and it's real painful. It's hard for me do it on the basketball court."

The Suns were doubling T-Mac and Yao and letting Nash guard the other three guys by himself. That might be a slight exaggeration but they were all helping out against those two. I don't think I've ever seen a player more ignored than Bowen was in the first half. They did a good job of switching off on TMac when he used perimeter screens - the times they didn't double him. Surprisingly, they got rather physical with him at times and with Yao as well - a bit of a taste of their own medicine and they didn't like it. I don't think Houston is looking forward to playing the Suns next Saturday - I sure hope they don't turn it around on us because off this game we look to have them figured out.

I would actually rather that the Phoenix Suns face the Houston Rockets and than about any other team that will make the playoffs. Sacramento doesn't seem so scary now, and Memphis hasn't been playing especially well lately. However I think Houston has a tough time matching up against the Suns.

BTW I don't think I've ever seen Mike D'Antoni as angry as he was with those officials just before halftime. The look on Bo outlaw's face after getting called for that technical was priceless as well.

Who's up next?

Whats up with our 2nd Quarters lately? 10 points yesterday and the game before I think we scored 13 or 14? I hope this doesn't become a habit!

Haven't checked numbers, but I was impressed with Hunter. He seems to be getting more agressive. The way he was banging in there last night, I thought we had traded for Fortson, but better looking.:hulk:
