Haven't checked numbers, but I was impressed with Hunter. He seems to be getting more agressive. The way he was banging in there last night, I thought we had traded for Fortson, but better looking.:hulk:

Welcome aboard.

Hunter has had several good games recently and it is reflected in the improved defense the Suns are showing. His ability to play opposing big men is huge. His rebounding is improving, but he is still not a dominant rebounder. However, he does tip the ball to teammates, block out (at least more than Amare), and grab enough to be a help.

If he could just hit some free throws...

What I like the most from the recent games is the fact that we as a team have become more patient in our general approach. We ran when the chance presented itself, but we also used the shot clock when we are leading while no obvious fastbreak chance is there. We wisely abandoned the early season strategy of running the opponents off court by an unconditional, indifferential high race. We have started to vary our approaches conditional on the situation and matchups.

Early in the season teams were crashing the boards, so running had the effect of hurting teams that sent three guys to the offensive glass. After a while teams began focusing on getting back on defense, with the effect of reducing the offensive rebounding. Only recently have the Suns been as heavily focused on defensive rebounding (rather than just running to discourage teams from crashing the boards), which slows the pace a bit.

In any case, the Suns still run more than any other team.
