tonight ain't a must win - but with Miami getting trounced at Memphis, it would be another game to give us a cushion down the stretch for homecourt.

Come on streak-busters! Do that voo doo that you do sooooo wellllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the things I would like JJ to work on this summer is his ability to finish with contact. It seems that if he gets hit when driving, there is no chance of the ball going in. For someone that can get his own shot anytime he wants, and can draw fouls with ease, this skill is pretty important.

disgusting

To the Warriors credit, they hit a hell of a lot of 3's (over 18 on the game I think), but a lot of those were setup by non-calls as they hacked, grabbed, and went over the back to get the ball.

Normally I'd get on you for this but for once I might have to agree with you. The officiating was piss poor and it seemed extremely one-sided down the stretch.

Of course not being able to rebound, not defend the 3 at all (how many did GS make in the last qtr?), and suddenly going cold down the stretch didn't help either.

This is how teams are going to play us, especially in the playoffs. We just have to suck it up and go after the balls harder. Too many second chance points and they were hitting their long shots.

Despite the officiating, the Suns gave up 127 points. Not going to win
many games like that. And the Warriors had less FT attempts than the Suns.
They unraveled defensively in the last 4 minutes. Hopefully this will motivate them to play no-nonsense against the Rockets on national TV tomorrow night.

BTW, two amazing dunks by Amare over Foyle. The one that knocked Foyle to the ground was probably one of the best dunks Amare has ever had.

They hit a ridiculous amount of long shots.....other than Baron Davis (who went 0-8 from 3) the Warriors shot 18-27 from 3pt land, that's 67%.

win or lose, that was one of the best games of the year. what great entertainment! I was on the edge of my seat the whole game, it wasn't just at one point, the whole thing was just magic on sneakers! the nba needs to tape this game and show it to the league as an example of how you're supposed to play basketball. WHAT A GAME!

along with that, amare stoudemire is a golden god.
44points/16rebounds/5assists/2blocks
that is one of the best statlines (no pun intended :) ) you'll see this year.

kg is probably the gold standard for versatile big men and his best line of the year was
47points/17rebounds/4assists/2steals

i can't believe how good amare has become! 14/15 from the line to boot!

The Warriors just played a near perfect game against us. Kudos to them. The Suns shouldn't feel bad about this loss. The Warriors just couldn't miss from 3.

Peitrus alone, who is shooting only .316 from 3 this year, was 6-6. Zarko even played great in the 4th quarter.

The Suns should still have no problem getting the number one seed.

Man. What a game! (even though the suns lost)

GS couldnt miss and the Suns went cold down the stretch (and the officials sucked).

The Suns however need to improve the rebounding.

Pietrus 6-6 from 3...unbelievable, the guy has been a total bust, and had the game of his life. What an entertaining game, too bad we didn't pull it out. Those were two of the best dunks Amare has ever made.

Calling Pietrus a 'total bust' is far too harsh. He has had limited PT and is already renowned for his athleticism and defense. The main crack on him is decision making and his jump shot.

The guy is in his 2nd year and is foreign. Given time, I think he will be a solid player for a long time.

The Warriors were hitting really tough shots all night. If they had just an ordinarily great game from the field we would have won.

Nash didn't look great, also. Our offense collapsed in the 4th.

The Suns slowed it down and got beat at their own game tonight.

They were trying to set up offense but they just could not get a shot to fall.

Nash made a three to cut the lead to 4 with 1:30 left and I thought they might pull it out.

It seems like we missed every shot after that. :|

Great shooting game by the Warriors. That sucks, I hate losing.

Another game tomorrow.

Yeah, we lost...but dang, one of the most entertaining games I've seen all year...I don't know how many times I jumped up off the couch when Amare posterized someone...

Great game, too bad we couldn't win, but they got got at the end and what can you do?

That had to be one of the most entertaining games of the season even though the Phoenix Suns lost in the end. The officiating might not have gone the Phoenix Suns would at the end of the game, but overall it wasn't bad. They got killed on the boards... again. I mean it's difficult to beat somebody when they get 12 more offensive rebounds. They also hit some very difficult shots throughout the game. I mean Jason Richardson was very well defended on and least 4-5 outside shots he made.

Like I said earlier today, this is exactly what the Western Conference needs... more competition. When is the Eastern conference going to improve like this?

Lastly, you have to be impressed with that Golden State crowd. That was a playoff audience that showed up to watch a team that despite their winning streak is just 31-45.

Great game. Let's hope they saved some energy for Houston tonight. Steve Nash especially looked pretty exhausted toward the end of last night's game.

Pretty much agree with most assessments about the game.

The Warriors played carefree. Let's see them hit those shots with a little on the line. Methinks their throats would have gotten a little tight.

Actually, they have a nice nucleus. They're a big guy away from taking the next step.

Congrats, GS. Enjoy the summer.

Golden State has had great fans for a long time. That franchise has been(although somewhat unintentionally) screwing them for years.
