:biglaugh: Brooks threw the rock at the ref for not making the call.

Disappointing Brooks could not hold down the fort and Nash has to return. So far Brooks has not been an improvement over Dragic, much less Dragic and a #1.

Just put a center in Gentry! I don't even care if it's Robin, we were winning the whole game easily, and then he goes small ball.

Gentry once again proving what a bad head coach he is by leaving Carter in the game and Gortat on the bench.

What the hell was Gentry thinking? By keeping a center out of the game he almost blew it. Gentry almost pulled another Gentry.

Good to get Frye back. 17/9 in his first game back. And Gortat plays better when Frye is around: 18/9 with 4 assists. Nash looked better than he has in a while. Hill with another defensive masterpiece, holding Ellis to 8 points.

VC is just not playing the right way. He must know better by now what he can still do out there and what he should avoid. Take a lesson from Hill.

Warrick has no basketball IQ. 0. None. Athletic freak who will probably never live up to his potential.

Brooks and the Nash-less unit continue to struggle. The Suns +18 with Nash on the floor, -7 with Nash resting. This trade is starting to look bad, because the Suns may not try to re-sign him if he continues to struggle, leaving them one less draft pick and zero backup point guards going forward.

Good, much needed win. But GS played poorly (21 turnovers) and were still within single digits late in the game. The Suns cannot count on other opponents playing this poorly down the stretch.

Nice to see good games from Nash and Frye. :)

Hill really needs to make an all defensive team. :)

Hi everybody!

I'm new on this forum and this is my first post. However I looked to this site for couple of weeks and I'm not out of your discussion. Unforunately I didn't watch tonight's game because I have overslept :bang: (Game started at 3 a.m. in Poland) Even setting an alarm didn't help me to wake up ;p
Considering the game, it was important to win this game and Suns did it. Unluckily, I'm afraid that with this performance they won't make playoffs. You have no player which can make a difference when team is not playing well. Look at the stats from game against Warriors:
G. Hill - 17 pts, 7 rb, 3 ast
C. Frye - 17 pts, 9 rb, 2 ast
S. Nash - 17 pts, 6 rb, 10 ast
M. Gortat - 18 pts, 9 rb, 4 ast

This is your strength. Four equalized players which can compete witch every team. If only one of them will not add his brick into that wall Suns are in trouble. Sorry, but other players have only minor contribution into Suns quality, especially VC (he had only few games when he did his job). In my opinion VC is one of the biggest problem in Phoenix. He is shooting from unprepared positions and he is missing it. Give that confidence (number of attemps) to anybody and the result won't be worst.

PS. Sorry for any mistakes I made in this post, but I'm not a native speaker at all;P If there are big ones, please tell me - I will do my best to improve my language and dictionary:)

Hi edukator:) Thank you for that link:)
I'm from Kołobrzeg, but I live in Gdańsk at the moment (I study here).

I must tell you all the guys and girls (if there are any) that I wasn't watching NBA before Gortat started to play in Orlando. I really like basketball (I practised basketball for 2 years in primary school) but there were no team to follow for me. Now it is Phoenix.
Not only because of Gortat, but because of your style. You're playing quick basketball, and not only shooting for 3 or playing into C (like it is in Orlando Magic). I took fancy to Suns and now I follow them in NBA :)

Let's not get too bent out of shape with this underwhelming win folks. Remember, we were just starting to develop some post trade chemistry before Frye went down on that road trip. It is encouraging that he is back, the players can start to get back to their established roles and develop that chemistry.

We started to see some of that in this game, but now the 2nd unit needs to start bringing it like before. I have a feeling they will get there, hopefully before it is too late.

I don't think they will. Brooks is not the player he will be, once his ankle finally heals. It won't heal until he stays off it for some time. I can't believe people are judging him (and that trade) when the guy is playing without his single greatest asset - his speed. That second unit needs an effective playmaker and Brooks isn't there yet, at least not consistently.

Very good post.

Brooks was supposed to give the Suns some added offensive punch but it has not worked out due to his injury or perhaps a failure to adapt to the Suns team. You are right about VC, however, the Suns do not have much in the way of a SG. Gentry has said before that VC has to produce for the Suns to be good. Unfortunately, his physical talent has diminished and his 3 point shot is erratic. It looks like Gentry is prepared to live with the outcome of starting VC.
