For a short while there it seemed the refs were on a mission for the Warriors. Now, with GS unfortunately in control, they've gone back to allowing the same type of contact at both ends. I'm wondering if one of our guys didn't piss them off or something because until that stretch they had called a fairly even game.

Steve

Tucker got a technical earlier.

Tucker seems to have mastered that hook shot in the lane.

Barnes, Thompson and Curry are scary good.

And if ankle transplants were a reality, Curry would have a real shot at the Hall of Fame. As it is, they'll have to put up with him in and out of the lineup for a few years and then he'll probably be just another one of those guys that used to be somebody. I really don't see him holding up for long.

I feel much the same about Bogut staying healthy.

I haven't checked out the Warriors salary situation but I wonder how long they can keep all this talent together going into the future.

I was worried that the Suns were going to win this one early in the 3rd quarter, but Beasley, Brown, Morris and Gortat did their magic and made sure we lost.

Marshall got 19 minutes. Johnson and Zeller both got a little burn. Brown had minutes cut and Telfair was a dnp.

And we lost. (Even though we beat the Lakers earlier this week)

That's the plan. This team is doing its part in the rebuild.

We should trade Telfair before the deadline if possible. I cannot see how he will be part of future plans. Of course we could keep him and trade Marshall, but no one is taking Marshall.

I found a strategy for watching the games. I'm sure most everyone has discovered that its between painful and impossible to root against the team so what you do it just watch the first half - and enjoy the good things they do. You can do that in good conscience since they are almost certain to crumble in the second half.

Hey, Marshall looks like he is catching up to the speed of the NBA game. He has good lateral movement and rotated pretty well. He did one thing you rarely see guards do - he covered a big deep on the block when the guys defender left to help. Of course the guy would eat him up if he had to guard him for long but GSW didn't pick up on it and Marshall did a good job of sealing the baseline against a driving SF(I think) and in the confusion we got the ball. Of course, he going to have to learn to shoot at least from midrange or defenders will back off him completely in short order. Or he might become Nash like in dribbling through traffic and dishing at close range. Anyway, 'm not as sure as I was before that he'll have to head overseas in a couple of years.

It looked like the Warriors were going to expose our bigs when they chased a guard too far off a screen but after capitalizing on it a couple of times they quit looking for the play

What's up with Bassy?

It was okay seeing Kendall Marshall in the first half, but when the Warriors pulled away in the third, why the hell did Coach Hunter play Marshall instead of Telfair?

I prefer Telfair as our backup point guard, but I also think you have to play the rook to see what you've got. Can't really know until he gets steady playing time. There's still time for Marshall to show he belongs in the league and maybe even get the backup PG spot, but it would be surprising, to put it mildly.

Update: I see he put Wesley Johnson in there as well. It's nice to give the young dudes some court time. Going to watch a few more games now when football season is over.

Let's just play the young guys and let them develop. If we loose then so be it. If we win then great. I'm against trading Telfair. He's pretty good. What would he get us? Another second round pick? That's no good for us. Chances are we won't find anything close to Telfair in the second round (unless we actually got some San Antonio style scouting all of a sudden). So play the young guys and cut back on the minutes for Scola, Dudley, Brown and Telfair.

Focus on getting more time for Beasley (green light), Dragic (green light) (max 30 mpg), Morris, Wesley Johnson, Kendall Marshall, Garrett (who is this kid?) and Zeller (yeah, whatever).

If trading Telfair gets us a specialist/raw talent big, then do it. No one in their right mind will trade big for small, but hey, it happens.
