Nice superbowl congratulations rams - once i again I seen their premium pass rush win the game as Cincinnati lost balance and proceeded to pass too much against Donald and Miller. Box score was more than 2 passes to each rb run 33 p to 15 r- I mean the rams won that way 40 o to 12 r , but bengals were facing what may be the best pass rush in history. They ran effectively, but not enough in the end. but at least they tried to run and competed unlike the stupid cardinals.

75 years and counting without a cardinals championship-.

Bengals were extremely healthy this season too

Not sure if they’ll get the same luck next season

Well, here’s the deal for me: the officials (yet again) ruined a game. They didn’t necessarily decide the outcome, but they greatly affected it with the end-of-game flag-fest. And IMHO it ruined everything. It screwed Cincy, cheapened a SB Title for LA, and worst of all marred the game for the millions of us watching. A kind of ending that almost felt like the outcome was predetermined. I really don’t believe games are fixed, but that kind of horse**** sure puts the seed in my head and makes me wonder why I waste time watching. Nice work NFL, you’ve again figured a way to screw things up. Royally.

I wanted Keim to draft Kupp! Anyways that was nauseating seeing another star-filled LA mega team win a championship with a legion of bandwagon fans. Sports are kinda gross right now. I hope the Lakers can make a playoff run so the Suns can dismantle them again.

There were a lot of non calls during the first 58-1/2 minutes of the game for both teams. Then suddenly flags were dropping everywhere. The hold call was ticky tack. Yes he had his hands on the body however he wasn't grasping the uniform and didn't impede the receiver. As a ref you can't start making calls like that after letting go face mask, offside, offensive holding, false starts all game long. For me it just ruined the game and took away the ability of the players to make or break the results. I even question the PF in the end zone. It appeared to me he went in with his shoulders square to Kupp trying to force the ball out. It didn't appear to me that he went in helmet first.

Bottom line for me was I thought the game was boring. Very little excitement.
It mostly was boring for me also. I was nodding late 3rd and early 4th. But it was at least close at the end. Not a lot of suspense. I had a feeling that Cincy wouldn't drive for a score. Or, they would miss a FG. Before the 4th down play, I said to my wife they wouldn't get the first.

It was nice to see a couple of tough gritty QB's compete.

Stafford got his ankle rolled over pretty badly and Burrow had his knee twisted - and both just got some quick attention on the sidelines, grabbed their helmets, and ran back in the next time their offense had the ball.

Refreshing.

Yeah. Something felt off about their offense all day. I mean, it is the freaking Super Bowl. Pull out all the stops. Other than the long bomb to Chase they played WAY too conservative.

some observations:

1. the moment you get out of a balanced offense vs the Rams D (i.e. they get to rush the passer only), its tough sledding. Surprised we didn't see a single screen (and IIRC, only one draw play) from the Bengals.

2. Stop the Rams run game with your front 7, and their O looks pretty ordinary.

3. Adding OBJ saved the Rams season. As good as Robert Woods is, OBJ forced teams to respect his deep speed and was better vs man coverage.

That is more what gets me - before the two minute warning, far worse was let go, and effected drives/scores on both teams. Then all of a sudden, it was like the NFL decided they wanted the Rams to win, and all calls were made.

Couldn’t agree more cardpa. The hit on Kupp was simply a good, hard tackle. And yes, the lousy officiating ruined the game for me and everyone else watching in the room (including Ram fans).

And remember the holding call on that play would have pushed them back instead of the offsetting replay the down. Huge call.

I dozed off watching in the first half..
First half was boring but I enjoyed the second half a lot. Ended up being a great game IMO. The officiating is something any longtime NFL fan would recognize, and I'm not bent out of shape about it. Bengals had plenty of opportunity to put the game away earlier and so did the Rams. I get the Rams hate but sometimes it makes folks a bit myopic when it comes to "bad" calls.

Said the exact thing at our SB party. Don't let the ticky tack holding call become the reason for the win. Can't let that happen.

Forget that the refs basically gave Bengals a 75 yard TD with a blatant OPI which
it was a missed call, but in real time it didnt look like the "usual" offensive PI where the WR extends an arm. on those underthrown balls where the WR comes back, you often see all sorts of contact. I get why the call was missed

The only people complaining about officiating was those who wanted the Bengals to win. Forget that the refs basically gave Bengals a 75 yard TD with a blatant OPI which is the only reason they are even in the game Rams should have blown them out, but the OBJ injury screwed up their O big time.
Not accurate. They no-called Ramsy on Higgins for DPI that prevented a touchdown…
