Here it is, folks. Make your pick and cite your reason....

I'm going Steelers because of the D and the experience....

I wouldn't be surprised at any outcome of the game, really. Could be a blowout from either team, or it could be close. It's tough to tell because the AFC and the NFC are so vastly different in terms of quality competition.

But, because of that (the AFC being better), I'll go with Pittsburgh.

It's interesting (maybe only to me) that the Seahawks used to be in the AFC and Pittsburgh was a part of the NFL before the merger.

Because of the emotions of getting the Bus a win will put The Steelers over the top.

Bettis will be the difference. If Seattle's D plays like it did yesterday, it should be a good, close game.

The Steelers will take Alexander away. Can Hasselbeck beat that defense?? I'm betting against it. 2 weeks is a lot of time for Cowher and Co. to come up with another great game plan.

I just heard on the radio that the Steelers beat the #1, #2 and #3 seeded teams in the playoffs to get to the Superbowl. That sorta gets ate what I was talking about in my first post--not only did they beat those high-seeds, they did it against teams that are better than their counterparts in the NFC bracket.

Who knows if Seattle would be as god as they are if they were playing in the AFC. I personally don't think they would be--I think they defeated a less-talented field to get where they are. But, we'll see in a couple of weeks. Could be that they win and prove me wrong.

I'm going Steelers because I like Bettis, the Steeler defense, and the Steeler offense not turning the ball over. I just see them being more physical than Seattle. It's up to Seattle to use speed to burn the Steelers. Could happen in a dome stadium. If the Steel curtain nuetralizes that Seattle speed, watch out!

Cowher is going to be drooling for the next two weeks. I don't know if there is another coach in the league who wants to win as badly as Cowher and shows it every game. He is so close he can taste it now.

It's going to be a blowout one way or another or maybe it'll be a close game:D .

Pittsburgh, PA--Enemy territory!
First, PittsbugH has a big H on the end of it, fella.

And second, Pittsburgh will win this one. They have momentum, emotion, and desire to go along with a better defense than Seattle, and a comparable offense.

Plus, their gameplanning has been incredible.

Seattle's defense has been equally as impressive. Both teams have plenty of momentum and desire. Both teams can run the ball. This looks like a toss up to me right now.

What?
I'm going to go for the Seahawks. It would be fitting for the team from the weakest conference in the weakest division to win it all.

Pittsburg just seems to be on a roll hitting on all eight cylinders. Even have the Bus going back to his home town. This will be like a home game for Pittsburg. I am no fan of Pittsburg but like the stability of their organization and the way it is run. Mr. Rooney has never micromanaged his team and leaves it to the football people. I like that. I would like to see a team from our conference win but-------

As I remember the Cards and Pittsburg were once rolled into one team known as the Card-Pitts. The year was 1942. The war years created a shortage of players. Good reason to cheer for Pittsburg .

The Steelers opened a 3.5 favorite. Hasselback is playing solid football.

This season could not have went more perfect for the "Bus" . No reason to think its gonna change now, Steelers win BIG. They beat the 1,2,3 seeds in the AFC all on the road, does anyone really think Seattle is too much of a challenge for them? STEELERS BIG!!!!!

GO SEAHAWKS!

of course I think they have a chance .. should be a great game though, both teams are balanced and well coached

both have QBs that are playing very solid football, both have good OLs, seattle is a little better at WR/RB, but pitt is better at pass D

this is a tough game to call and I wouldn't touch it with someone elses dollar - but of course I'll be going for my hawks

"..And in this corner.."

Pittsburg, 27-21.. Turnovers as usual will rule the game, and Hasselback has yet to be blasted likw he will be in the Motor City; one score by the Steeler defense... MVP- Roethlisberger:cheers:

"What limb, mister?"

Migrating Osprey..I disagree that Seattle has the better WR's.. Who on their team can = up to Hines Ward and his total game? Who else do the 'Hawks have at WR, I forgot, besides Darrell Jackson? I say 27-21 Steelers, Steelers defense scores one TD against the Seahawks..
Take it easy..

Good luck. I hope that you can stand proud on Super Sunday. I'm just a little bummed that the bandwagon jerk fans will come out of the woodwork (like they would for any team). Seattle fans have always been pretty cool.

The year was 1944. We lost every game that year. Shut out in 6 of 10 games. :bang:

So they dropped the D and simply went by the name, Car-Pitts.

Seattle at the finish, 23 - 21.

These teams match up so closely it's hard to pinpoint a difference maker; however, I give you Hasselbeck. The guy's a gamer and I believe he's going to outplay Roethlisberger in this game.

Will Big Ben have a better career? Yes. But I believe the Hasselbeck, Holmgren, Alexander combination will be difficult to overcome; these guys are not only on the same page, they're in the same sentence on the same line.
