On the bright side, he had decent games against top competition:

Texas - 9-12 for 20
Xavier - 7-9 for 18
Texas Tech 10-19 for 24

Trying, trying to be positive....

Here's another positive you can take comfort in...

His contract isn't guaranteed! If we don't like him, they can cut him without a problem

Is the pick we get from the Bulls next year? What conditions does it have?

If they make the playoffs does that mean we're stuck without a lottery pick?

I read somewhere before the draft (I thought NBADraftNet) that Vroman was the most impressive big man at the two predraft camps.

Out of all the scouting reports I just looked up on this guy, they all say the same thing - Hustle, Rebounding, not afraid of contact, very hard worker.

I dont know about you guys and is not in his class yet but so far he sounds like a Bo Outlaw type player. Good for coming off of the bench and adds hustle and energy.

True, I suppose anyone that can make a minor contribution from the second round is a small victory.

He avg 9+ Rebounds and 2.3 Assists 1.4 Steals - I do have NIT game Vroman put up 14 PTS and 20 REB. Tonight, I will try to give some kind of report - I follow Draft but I'm no expert or as smart as the rest of you (I'll try).

Sweet, another goofy white guy!!

I think the topic title and content could be considered racist. Anyway, I believe it was in poor taste.

I was considering that before I posted, but the intention was not to be racist, it was to make a comparison to lil Jake. Most here aren't as uptight as you, and would realize that.

Uhm, he appears goofy, and he IS a white guy.

Besides, He will be Jake's sidekick, like Starsky and Hutch! Which one is Vokshul and which one is Vroman? :D

We've never been able to replace Rich Kelley or Danny Schayes. Voskhul is far too athletic.

Can he be as good as Tim Kempton, Joe Kleine or Rick Robey?

I consider your comparison to Voskuhl a compliment. No offense taken. I just did not want the topic to pass because some people believe it's alright to make such comments. I now understand you didn't.

Not Bo Outlaw

He is a much, much better offensive player than most of the players named in this post. I've seen him play several times. Very good footwork, runs the floor very well, good shooting touch with good range. He did perform very well at the two pre-draft camps. I follow Big 12 basketball and many of the coaches in the conference felt he was the most underrated player in the Big 12. I saw several quotes that had coaches saying that they thought he would be the best pro prospect from the conference. He is an aggressive player who is very active around the hoop. He is always getting tips and keeping balls alive. He also has a couple of nice post moves. He has a little jump hook that is very difficult to defend. He is definetly quicker and more active than most people here are portraying.

He didn't get a lot of looks out of highschool because his family moved around and he had to attend a different school almost every year. He went the juco route because he was such an unknown. When he came to Iowa State he had the typical adjustment his first year but he really came on this past year. Although he had a good career at ISU he still is a player that has a lot of development in him. I think everyone will be suprised by him. He is after all 6'10" and can move and run the floor.
