My wife and I are making it out to the game on Sunday. Wondering how the tailgating is. Is there enough room to setup a little grill and some chairs by your parking space? Is it worth walking over to the great lawn? Any tips?

In the past I've always had a big group with me. This game it will be just us so we are trying to get a feel for it.

Any help appreciated.

Plenty of room for us in Lot F. We have had about 8 people (and chairs) hanging out and grilling.

Great lawn is a good atmosphere and a little more comfortable... most people are friendly enough to welcome you in where the "clusters" are...lots of activity and no pavement heat

Second that. Seems to be plenty of room. Last time we ended up parking towards the back and they left a pretty wide strip of playing field before the desert landscaping along 91st ave, where it would have been perfect to throw a football or whatever. I was wishing we brought one. I haven't been over to the great lawn yet and I'm sure its pretty awesome but I am very happy over in Lot F. Plenty of space.

open flames are ok or do they require gas?

also, if i'm strolling with a beer in hand, is there anyone to get up in arms about it?

They do require gas but I've seen charcoal grills on the great lawn. Don't know if it would be worth risking it though. Not sure about the "beer in hand".

the official rule is gas only, but i see charcoal all the time...no one is enforcing it. I walk from lot G to the stadium with my open beer past fans/employees and cops. None have given me grief

It does have to be a gas grill. I don't know about open containers though.

I wish you an awesome, Cardinals kicking butt weekend! :)

We pull in with a group of about 16 (5 or 6 cars). There’s plenty of room for us all to put up our ez-ups behind our cars. They were cracking down on the grills last time. People walk all over with open containers. They have a huge dumpster to toss them in before you enter the stadium.

I’ve walked over to the lawn a few times. It looks pretty fun, but I wouldn’t want to pack all my stuff over there.
