Happy Birthday Mitch!!! What do you think of Rob Herron,WR,Wyoming, in the 3rd-4th round for our speed threat? I really think he could be our version of TY with better speed and has great hands from what I have been reading....

No questions here Mitch, but happy birthday and I hope you don't have to shovel away too much snow again tomorrow morning. This winter is brutal up here!

Happy Birthday Mitch!! I just love reading your thoughts on draft prospects this time of year!

I'm and Eastern Illinois alum and would love for the Big Red to go after Jimmy Garrapallo in the 2nd round if he is still there. Saw a few EIU games this year and he really is impressive.

Herron is an intriguing choice---I was hoping to see more from him in the post-season, but he really didn't separate himself in the the way T.Y. Hilton did a couple of years ago. That said, having watched a few of Herron's Wyoming tapes, he looks the part.

How are making out, CT? It's raining here now after about 6-7 inches of snow. Hope you are doing well.

Yes. Can you sing "Stardust", please?

:p

Speaking of singing, Dems, did you see the Beatles' Grammy special? Wow! The covers were amazing, imho. Loved the Hey Jude finale. "Take a sad song and make it better..."

I agree, Holian---I would be ecstatic to see the Cardinals take Garoppolo. I think BA would love him.

See it?

I danced in front of the TV!

My favorite cover was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I'm becoming a big Gary Clark, Jr. fan.

Yeah, he and Joe Walsh brought down the house with that cover. Wow!

I loved John Mayer too---that boy sure can play.

Thanks, Ruggs.

My best guesses:

RB Donald Brown (Ellington all-purpose, Taylor---short yardage)

TE Housler---Ballard/Dray (one of those two)---Fells/Hardy (one of those two)---a draft pick

RT Winston/Sowell/Massie competition

RG Fanaika/Watford/Johnson competition

LOLB Shaughnessy (2-3 year deal)

ROLB Abraham (plus a draft pick)

SS Chris Clemons

FS Rashad Johnson/Tryann Mathieu/Tony Jefferson

What do you (everyone) think?

I'll take it!

Hope you had a good day.

Cool! Graduated back in 1992. My parents grew up in Mattoon and Altamont/Effingham.

This is mine & Dback Jons neck of the woods. DJ is from Springfield & I'm from Taylorville. My high school teams played against Effingham & Mattoon. Partied at EIU a few times myself in the early 80's. ;)

Mitch, I just want to thank you for providing a wonderful thread that has brought so very much information and discussion to lite here on the board. This was the very best thing that could have happened at this (dead) time of year while waiting for Free Agency to begin. The questions asked, and your responses spurred wonderful contributions from all across the board that supplied great and insightful information for all concerned. Your wealth of knowledge, accompanied by the great contributions of others has been a really fun break from the doldrums of the dead-year. Thanks again.
