Wow!!! ........and I can remember when Mickey Mantle just beat out Willie Mays to become the first baseball player to get a $100,000 a year contract.

Mantle came up with another great line, a few years back. I 've searched trying to find it but haven't had any luck so far.

It went something like this.

Reporter: Mick what do you think about the money these modern day players are making and their multimillon dollar contracts?
How much do you think you'd be worth in this modern age?"

Mantle: "Oh, I say maybe a coupla million a year"

Reporter: "What, you Mickey Mantle, only worth a coupla million a year? Cmon........"

What made this truly shocking was that it was 11 years AFTER Mantle died since he was only 64 when he died !!
