So now Jackson has to enter a program? He has to stay away from alcohol for a year and write a letter apologizing to this girl. He apparently kicked her car door and tail lights.

It's a strange story.

Without Tucker we're missing a 3 and D Filiberto's connoisseur. Perhaps Jackson fills that role.

Josh Jackson can't shoot.

The Suns are one of the worst shooting teams in the league and already have 2 small forwards who are not really shooters in Warren and Jones.

Josh Jackson is not a good fit, at least not a better fit than the other options so that argument should be out of the window.

The list goes on, his hailed defense by no means is seen like that by everyone.

Jackson is a scorer despite not shooting good at the free throw line. He gets to the rim.

He IS a good fit because he doesn't require the ball to be effective. He's a good passer and defender. Almost every article I've read lists Jackson as a good fit for the Suns.

Jackson's perfect for the desert, his "great defense" is a mirage. Watch him play, he's not even close to being an upgrade on Warren on either end of the court. IMO.

Dude Casey Jacobson was on the solar panel podcast today saying that Jackson was flat out the perfect fit for the Suns over anyone in this draft outside of Ball.

Guess he doesn't know what he's talking about either

Casey Jacobsen also thinks Lonzo Ball is the best player by far in the draft.

What Casey Jacobsen thinks does not mean anything. Being a former pro player does not automatically make you a good talent scout.

Michael Jordan sure thought Kwame Brown was the best player in the draft and a perfect fit.

Casey Jacobsen works for the Suns as a media guy and does some pac 12 commentating. I doubt he watched Kansas play in his spare time to scout Josh Jackson for the Suns.

I have no idea if he knows what he's talking about. Are you suggesting we should just wait and get all our opinions from Casey? If so, I'm cool with that. Does he still have that hot wife, that has to earn him some credibility?

Not saying that I'm saying he did spend time playing big time college ball and had a good run in the NBA something none of us did.

So yeah he is pretty much more credible than random guys posting on a message board.

No he is not, you have no idea how much time he even spent analyzing Josh Jackson or if he is just repeating something he googled in 5 minutes before going on the podcast.

I am pretty sure that Casey Jacobsen is not a hardcore fan that spends hours to watch these prospects, reads all the material that is out there about them etc.

Everything he said on that podcast was superficial stuff.

Can you stop making everything personal? I am getting tired of reporting it.

By your logic we should all abandon sports message boards because the TV guys on Foxsports or whatever know everything and are always right.

You are living in fantasy land if you think that being a former player automatically qualifies you as an analyst over anyone else who spent enormous time watching and following the process.

Oh your "draft record" oh damn my bad bro. How long you worked for an NBA team. I'm sorry I didn't know

What do you consider that? No actual content or discussion, just baiting and trying to make me mad.

You better believe I am going to fight back and report this kind of stuff from now on everytime I see it.

Walking away before you made this comment would have been the winning move. I know, easier to say than do sometimes.

@slinslin

I thought you had Fox in your signature at one time.

Did you sour on him or do I have it wrong?

But since the experts all disagree, why would you privilege Jacobsen's opinion over someone like Jay Bilas's? You're putting all of your faith in Jacobsen because he played for the Suns for a few years?

Please tell me where I said he was the be all end all? No just pointing him out as an example.

Early on I was of the same mind about Jackson... but then I watched him and saw that his rep as a defender is more hype than substance. He has the physical tools to be good but he doesn't have the mentality at present. One of his common lapses is to run back on D with no clue of where is man is on the floor. He makes some brilliant anticipation moves but he's just as likely to gamble and get burned - as one reviewer remarked, he's either two steps ahead or two steps behind. While he doesn't get hung up on screens, he doesn't work hard at cutting his man off when he's turning the corner off the screen - he'll took along behind him and hope for a block from behind. I don't know if he can deny or not but I haven't seen him working at it - an important skill in the NBA.
