A great win for sure. I think the offense will be the identity of the team this year Mitch. Palmer is looking real good as well as every other aspect of the offense. David Johnson looks like he will be a great RB for us. I would make him the starter now and not look back. The whole offense is just playing well and its great to see us not only having a passing attack but a solid running game for a change.

Good to see these guys get acknowledged here. Mauro and M. Golden getting plenty of early season action.

OL was decent, and that's a victory.

Good win today.

Nice to see Fitz being an integral part of the Offense

DJ made some big plays and makes it look easy

CJ ran hard and got some tough yards

Oline made it work today

TM was looking like his old self today and was all over the place

Jefferson made some big plays

How about my boy Tony Jefferson, an UDFA, getting the game ball this week.

What a great story he is. So proud of how he represents the Sooner Nation.

All great choices Mitch. I want to give honorable mentions to John Brown & P2:

It's a shame JB didn't come down with the two big plays where he did draw the Interference calls on but they were huge plays. Plus it appears to me that DC's have to adjust their play calling which in turn opens things up some for Fitz who was a beast himself.

P2 getting that pick to start the 2nd half after all those TO's we gave up just before half was huge.

Good post! I always count on you and K9 (even if you sometimes disagree) to point out the things I don't usually pay attention to.

Good win and excellent choices Mitch. OL has not given up a sack in two games, that is a big deal!!!

That is huge, I'm guessing that I had noticed because CP is taking a lot of hits, at least it feels that way to me.

We should celebrate this fact for sure. However, this has as much to do with Palmer and his ability to both move around just enough, as well get the ball out on time, as much as it does the oline...

yep. Good QB's do wonders for OL's. Good OL's work together well as a cohesive unit.

While the Oline has played well as has Palmer, we've still faced 2 of the worst D's in the NFL IMO

The bigger tests are going forward

For sure. But cmon, we are the Cards... The Cards would give up sacks against high school defenses... This is improvement, regardless of the team.

He's a QB in the NFL. He is going to take at least a handful of hits in basically every game.

Loved the fact that in his First 3 touches of the ball in his NFL career, D Johnson had 2 TDs. That's amazing to me. This obviously continuing back to his TD reception against NO.

Mitch, yet another superb job of laying out the special players from this game. This was a really good team win. I like that BA owned the give away just before half, and I like how Bettcher adjusted during half time so that we played shut out ball most of the second half.

I also have to laugh when I see how many of the fans are reacting to our start. It is so obvious that many aren't sure how to express themselves with this start, so that they are taking to sniping at the players and coaches as was customary for posting after a normal eastern time zone game with an early TV slot. I seem to recall losing a lot of those, especially after posting a win the week before, and a lot of the posts sound similar to those back in the day, despite the fact that we have a substantial lead over all division rivals at this point with two division rivals coming home to play us in U of P the next two weeks.

Chicago is not an EST team.

He's had 9 total touches. 5 rush, 2 receiving, 2 returns.

5 rushes for 42 yards (8.4 average)
2 receptions for 58 yards (29 average)
2 returns for 151 yards (75 average)
3 touchdowns

Ease him in there coach, that's the ticket.

The game Sunday started at 12:00pm in Chicago or 1:00 EDT, and 10:00am Arizona (MST).

Traditional Sunday games have basically two starting times: 1:00pm and 4:00pm EDT; this equates to 10:00am and 1:00pm MST (Arizona has no daylight savings time change).

When the rest of the "world" changes back to standard time later in the year the game times in Arizona change to 11:00am and 2:00pm.

Great write up Mitch.

Couldn't agree more on Calais Campbell. People are constantly saying; Where is CC? Because he's not racking up sacks, but he's there. He absolutely ruined a couple of screen passes the bears attempted and he was so disciplined on his gaps it was crazy. He is a big time difference maker out there.
