1. They can now say its all Boldins fault for not staying or having to be traded. If they continue to offer him deals.

My hunch is that the promotions come from within and new coaches are added to fill the bottom vacancies. On the other hand, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see The Engineer come up with something we don't expect. This should be the first off-season drama to be completed.

Urban is "reporting" on his conversation with Graves, I will be reading between the lines on anything that comes from that.

You are right and that will probably ultimatly happening. All in house hirings and filling in the lower positions. But you would think if the guys who will be getting the promotions are already in house this process would or shouldnt take this long. It doesnt take this long to promote in house which makes me still believe there is something else going on here, and it doesnt have to be Butler either, just something else besides in house promotions.

All they see is a franchise that's struggled as long as they've been alive and after their first successful season in 50 years, they go through all of this mess. Maybe my mountain is just a mole hill but all of this uncertainly can't look good in the eyes of Suggs, Peppers or countless other free agents that we're all drooling over.

Good point. Perhaps it is something as simple as needing to talk face to face with the men "not selected" prior to announcing it or maybe Coach Whisenhunt is lining up a pooch kick or fake field goal. He has surprised me before. I will say that no one in the organization is making any sounds. It's very, very quiet.

Yup! This is the 11th of February and Free Agency starts as of the 27th.

If they can get some things squared away in the next 2 weeks I don't know that the perception suffers all that much. There's also the chance that making a certain move two weeks from now will sway a free agent more than making a different move now. Frustrating, but we'll just have to see how it plays out.

According to Sommers blog -

So we wont know for sure if any reports at all are true or not true. Its just a waiting game and I myself wont be wringing my hands on any reports from here on out considering the Cards wont comment on anything and we wont know if any report is true or not.
