It's interesting that McBride has risen to be probably the #2 target in the passing game.

Rondale Moore was inexplicably next in line with eight targets in yesterday.

You gotta expect that Kyler will get on the same page with Wilson and Brown sooner rather than later.

When he has the ball or he goes straight full speed or then he crushes against the defender, doesn't have instict to find the hole and making quick cuts, seems always to take the wrong line

I think Moore should have more of a Brian Mitchell or Darren Sproles role... I'd also like to see if he can bring anything to the return game.

My first reaction to the title was, "Who has been calling McBride a bust?"

I've been telling people since he was drafted that he was a great pick and would be a really good pro TE.

That's why I commented on these threads, aside from the positives of talking about McBride and Murray--wondering about the need for negativity when something good happens. It's a fascinating point about Moore. He needs to get the ball with a lot of space to be effective. He doesn't seem to break as many tackles as you would expect him too either.

Five catches for 43 yesterday. That's 8.6 YPC. Not in the top 100 for WRs.

Just not sure if he's the answer at WR3.

I would love to see Dortch getting his snaps for a couple of games and I'm pretty confident his numbers would be better

Sorry I don’t see Moore. PA called him a gimmick player and I agree. Sproles could fake a guy out in a phone booth. Moore has virtually no moves, though I grant he has run harder recently. He’s getting too many targets, I presume based on breakaway speed if he can get a lane.

I agree it's only been a few people who have said McBride sucks. I think the consensus has been that the guy needs touches. He's got real talent.

I've been on the McBride sucks line here and there. He was certainly looking like a bustola for a while. Why else couldn't he unseat the rotting corpse of Zach Ertz? Sounds like we can chalk it up to a bad coaching decision because the kid looks a lot better now that he's gotten more of a shot.

Kudos to ANYONE on this board who were vocal about giving McBride some time. Although I didn't say it myself and just shook my head at those ready to throw him off the train, I knew it was a matter of time before he got it. TE is not an easy position to excel in right out of the gate, and props to the coaching staff for believing in him.

U mean in his rookie season, cause this season has been always solid when he had the opportunity
I m sure he has the best ratio targets/catches
Plus a lot of yards after the catches, big hurdle and breaking tackles

He had 1 memorable drop and other than that he been a very solid weapon this year when on field.

I was absolutely critical of McBride in the past, which I still don't think was unwarranted. The first year+ of his career was pretty underwhelming. But he is obviously developing into a weekly mismatch, which is fantastic to see. I will gladly eat crow after an 8/131 performance.

My cousin goes to all CSU games and told me that McBride would be a tough kid when Cards drafted him. Nice to see it today.

I actually heard a random caller on sports talk radio here in Philly, talking about how good he was, and that whoever takes him would be getting a steal. That's the only reason I even knew who he was prior to us drafting him.

Who knows? This happens all of the time in sports. Maybe his blocking technique was off on some little things the Cardinals staff looks for. Either way, he has always been talented.

I see stills as a great pick based on draft position and what we're getting out of him. McBride and Ojulari I was hard on because they were 2nd rounders and those need to contribute from the get go. Nice to see them both get going in a big way this week.

Circumstances matter though.

Ertz was stuck behind a former pro bowl caliber player for a bit. Players do get better with more snaps.

Ojulari essentially missed all of the off-season.
Much harder to catch up during the year.

This draft class is looking better each week.
