Temporary ban for Lakers fans?

Should SweetD ban Lakers fans from the Suns board for the next two weeks?

I'm a Lakerfan who discovered the championship trophy and built the Great Western Forum out of metal and brawn. That's what kind of Lakerfan I am. You're just a Sunsfan with a small brain. With a brain a third the size of us. It's science.

:p

Actually, I follow the Magic but I saw a thread with a dumb title and had to jump in. I figured no one could get mad at me for ruining a thread titled, "Temporary ban for Lakers Fans?"

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE POSTING ABOUT!

Banning Laker fans from the board is a stupid idea.

I would however support the creation of a seperate country where Laker fans could be indefenitely relocated.

Perhaps Montana. I heard there are some old internment camps up there we could use to get things started.

No, I was hoping we could have moved Shaq back to Orlando and taken that first pick and drafted Howard ourselves.

I loved Kobe from jump...Howard is a guy I felt the same way about. He's going to terrorize this league.

I'm just suprised he's hitting huge so early. He's more of a beast than I even thought he'd be.

Go ahead, I don't care. I don't mind posting in the smack forum.

Plus, I've never been banned from any forum before so I'd kind of like to put that on my resume.

Renzo, you're a Lakers fan??!! I was hoping that avy you had up a lil while ago wasn't what I thought it was. Sorry to hear that man. My whole perspective on you has now changed for the worse. :D

Give it a week or so and they will practice a self-ban. It is hard to post when you are cryin' yourself to sleep on your huge pillow.

Does anyone remember the dancing Laker mascot from NBA JAM in like '94? It was like a puddle or something. Funny that people talk about a storied franchise with a history of Champions and all that comes to mind was that little puddle.

Did collective IQs on this site just drop? Is there a serious discussion about banning Laker fans? Are you kidding me?

Granted, I'm not a huge fan of more Laker threads on the Suns board than Suns threads, but it's an NBA board. It's also granted that we must patrol the boards before they turn into ESPN.

And yes, I get fed up with BIM's attitude on the Suns board, since everything he posts is very anti-anything having to do with the Suns, but isn't banning a little extreme? It's not like he usually posts all the time.

Of course, Mike IS the moderator, so the decision lies with him, but I've never seen this board in such an uproar about banning an entire group of fans and a guy who has almost 16,500 posts!

To ban anyone for an opinion is testament to the weakness of ANY public message board. If you cannot stand the heat then close up shop. Other boards around the L have the same stupid policy of policing opinions and they are among the weakest. So go ahead and ban someone for an opposing opinion and watch your site (and it's advertising dollars) go away.

Thanks, you must be correct since this site does nothing but increase traffic every year...

The guys who run this board and have been running boards for almost 8 years now will take your 6-posts of experience here under "serious" consideration.
