Saturday's victory marked a series win for the Vols. Eighth-year Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello discussed the Vols' win after the game.
“Our guys had a good response,” Vitello said. “I think they were motivated from from Thursday night, game one, and it was a long two days, so the fact they stayed the course was impressive.”
Alabama won the series opener on Thursday, 6-5, while the Vols won game No. 2 on Friday, 10-7.
Tennessee will next play on March 25 against Queens at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+. The Vols will return to SEC play March 28-30 at South Carolina.
