everything I see or read about this continues to make me think it's going to be an epic trainwreck.

I don't think it will do as poorly as you think.

It's going to kick ass in regards to making money. But, that has nothing to do with the movie being GOOD (see Transformers series).

In a van...down by the river.
that new poster with an old Arnold as Terminator with gray hair that simply says "HE'S BACK" seems like something out of a Mel Brooks movie or a movie spoofing Hollywood.

this is going to be a trainwreck of biblical proportions.

Lol. I know right? I don't plan on paying a dime to see this. Ok maybe a couple bucks later on.

I'm so glad Arnold is out of politics so he can go back to doing this

He is a pretty old dude now though. He sort of wasted any prime years he had left. I wish he had never went into politics.

Having said that....I think the trailer is interesting enough to get me to go. I don't need Interstellar type writing. I just want a fun popcorn sci fi flick.

Plus they didn't have to stretch the mythology to make it work. It's always been stated that the tissue surrounding the terminators is living. So them aging is perfectly plausible. Also, sort of smart if they wanted a terminator to blend in long term.

whats best is when you hear:

"An old terminator? give me a break"

and then you quote in your arnie voice:
"I'm a cybernetic organism. Living tissue over a metal endoskeleton."

and they go "ohhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Do not watch unless you want to know major plot points before seeing the film. Too many spoilers, IMHO:

is this really that much of a surprise? The T2 trailer completely gave away the twist that Arnold was the good terminator/protector and the T4 Trailer completely gave away the awful/who cares "mindblower" that what-his-nuts was a half human, half terminator also.

Whats-his-nuts??????

:biglaugh:

Great one, Cheese
