To me is sounds very plausible for the Cards to do this, I actually think Dawg's friend is on the money because I can only judge it by Dawg's postings in the past. And I doubt Dawg would throw this out here if he did not feel his source is pretty good. I'm buying it at the moment.
Thanks for the street cred man. If dude is just messing with me I'm gonna look pretty funny. But I don't see him doing that so I'm still 9 out of 10 boss. :)

I would like to ask all the good folks here, if you hear something, post it here on this thread. Wrong or right I would like this documented to where I don't have to rely on my own ASFN search skills down the road. If anything gets announced or tweeted, this be the thread!!

Channel 12's Kevin Hunt did a lead in promo about this for 10:30 sports. He didn't mention any name. I didn't see the show, so I don't know what else was said. He could be using dawg for a source for all I know.

IF a trade would happen. There's no way the Cards are giving up a contributing player like Doucet. If anything, it will be a late round conditional draft pick. Why would they give up anything moore, :D, than that? Unless Kolb is done for the year, Moore is likely cut when Kolb comes back.

I think we have varying terms of contributing he had done nothing all year and fourth on the depth chart.

You have to give something to get something. I love me some Early Doucet, but he's been phased out of the offense in favor of Michael Floyd. If that's going to continue and increase, Early Docuet can help us more by giving us an option as a starter in 2012 and 2013 than by playing 8-12 snaps a game as a #4 and special teamer.

I will give your source the benefit of the doubt. I also would not be shocked if it was for Doucet. He is expendable at this point even though I think he has shown he can be a solid 4th WR.

Agree....Miami needs WR help. Time to push Floyd up to #3 and let Roberts man the slot. We need QB depth in case Kolb is out all year, and Moore is underrated IMO. He has the potential to be a long-term option (at least more potential than Skelton IMO).

Plus, Doucet is on the books for next season as well. Throw in a 6th or 7th rounder to get it done.

Something's got to happen. The team has barely said anything about Kolb's injuries. But if he did have rib separations at the sternum, he's NOT coming back this year. It may be a career ender.

The fact that Dawg started this at a decent time and not at 2am and the initial post was readable leads me to believe he's not messing with us and was probably capable of a rational thought.

And Dawg won't talk about his source... could be a customer at the shop who doesn't want the Cards to know he's a customer at the shop. Or the guy that owns the taco truck that stops at the businesses across the street from the facility. (He'd know things.)

This day may get interesting!

I will give you that he has more potential than Skelton, but lets not get too carried away. He would be a stop-gap, nothing more.

Seems like every year the Cards are rumored to be picking up a Miami backup.

Matt Moore is this year's Tyler Thigpen.

Not getting carried away. Just saying he has potential, not a sure-fire QBoF. I've always liked Moore and felt he wasn't given a fair shake in Carolina or Miami (maybe for good reason, but who knows).

Bottom line - it doesn't hurt to bring him in even if the only positive outcome is getting Doucet off the books.

It makes so much sense though that if I were trying to pass off a prediction as a rumor, this is the way I'd go. Miami has an extra marginally startable QB and needs WR help and we have a surplus of relatively serviceable receivers and no starting QB.

That's not me. I'll show you the text if you stay around here. I couldn't make this up.

Unless Kolb is done for the year and we don't know about it yet, I have a hard time seeing us giving up a player who sees the field on a regular basis for a guy, assuming Kolb is healthy, who will be off the roster in 4-5 weeks. In fact, it would be a horrible trade.

I only see Moore filling the same kind of role as Brian St.Pierre.

I think Terrelle Pryor is available.

What if Kolb isn't only done for the year, but done for Arizona permanently? At this point, it's difficult to say that the Cards would pick up his $9 million salary in 2013 based on his on-field performances. This February, we could be in the position of looking at Skelton and Lindley being the primary starting options going into the draft, and Kolb having all the leverage in a contract renegotiation. I don't think that's acceptable.

Doucet isn't a core player, and is only signed through 2013. If Michael Floyd is going to see more playing time on the field, then you have to make room for him. I like Doucet's toughness and attitude, and I'm not sure that Floyd or Byrd is able to play special teams. But if that is what it takes...

...Actually, Matt Moore isn't under contract into 2013. Ugh. I don't like that deal at all, then. Only a late-round pick that could accelerate into a 4th rounder. Anything else would be a real panic move.

It never even crossed my mind that you'd made this up, sorry it came across that way to you. I'm also not trying to impugn your source but I could easily see someone making this up and passing it off as rumor. It's logical enough that it could actually happen and if it doesn't it's easy to say the deal fell apart in the details.
