Whiz is the coach who led the team to its greatest success in the valley, and that is how I will remember him.

Ditto - thanks for the memories Whiz, wish we didn't have a front office that was willing to give you that rope to hang yourself a few years back.

Thank you Ken Whisenhunt for the greatest experiences I ever had as a Cardinal fan, a Superbowl appearance, a Superbowl which might have been the greatest one played of all-time and the Cardinals were part of it, and multiple trips to the playoffs. I wish you the very best.

Thank you, Wiz. You took the Cardinals to heights never before reached by this organization. For that, thank you.

Godspeed...

Thank you, Coach. That Super Bowl run was amazing. I will always be grateful for that season. Good luck to you, and I hope the Cards kick your ass each time they play your new team. :)

Well said.

I don't think we had the luxury for him to fix the flaws that got in the way of his talent. Perplexing is certainly the perfect term for him.

The problem was not the time to do so, but his failure to acknowledge that he had those flaws. He was given 6 years to build this program. He started with a great offense, provided by Denney Green, and a defense that couldn't close games out. He finally brought in Horton to fix the D, but he tore down the offense all the while he was here, bit by bit starting with Boldin etc. We went from an offense that scored 35 points per game to one that couldn't score an average of 10. What a shame, and what a poor performance by a HC touted to be an offensive guru.

For NFL coaches, the end is really never pretty... and for Whiz, his end was grotesque.
I give him props for becoming the winningest coach in the history of this franchise, however, without anything to show in a post-Warner era, I will always be extremely reserved in my accolades of Whiz. He showed zippo after Warner departed, and left this team with 2 WR's (Fitz and Floyd) on offense, and literally nothing else!

Good Luck Whiz... I'm not sure you'll be a NFL head coach anytime soon, however, best of luck wherever you end up...

This is perfectly stated , and how I feel about Whiz and his tenure here. It was a poor performance by a HC that was given a top offense and top players on both sides of the ball.We could have turned the corner for good if he had even been marginally passable at recognizing talent and getting along with them. He was touted as an Offensive Guru and he was anything but one. His failure to recognize talent on the offensive side of the ball was his undoing. We are left with ruins on the offensive side of the ball from what he inherited. A Playoff roster. Thanks for nothing Whiz

Thank you WHiz

his lack of eye for talent destroyed his career, but he will most likely end up being a solid HC for someone else

Let's not re-write history here. Under Green, the offense was ranked 26th, 17th, and 19th in scoring. In Whisenhunt's first few years, it improved to 7th, 3rd, and 11th before going back into the toilet.

(Meanwhile, the defense went from 12th, 26th, and 29th under Green and Pendergast, and continued to stink at 27th and 28th under Whis and Pendergast.)

Very classy post

Thanks for leading me, the Cards & other fans on the greatest journey as a fan the Cards have known in the 2008 season!!! You were oooooh sooooo close to being a living legend in the eyes of Big Red fans. Also kudos for the greatest single game I've ever seen in the 2009 WC game against the Pack.

We all knew that the Kevin Kolb move would either get you another contract or get you fired & the later it did. I think you're a class act & know you will once again rise & again lead another organization as an NFL HC. Good luck & again thanks for your service

Agreed all around. I was fortunate enough to be 20 rows behind the Cards bench at the SB in Tampa, and I am eternally grateful to CKW for helping get the Cards to that point. That was truly an experience of a lifetime which will never be forgotten.

Best of luck to Whis in his next stop.

Excited for the new regime.

Thanks Whiz for the week in Tampa. At age 60, I don't think it will happen again. But, thanks for giving me that wonderful week.

Thanks, Coach.

Thanks for acknowledging the fans and the noise we made and the support we gave the team. In Whiz We Trust may not have lasted long, but it was a heck of a ride while it lasted. And a whole lot of fun. The good times were great times. Good luck.

There sure were some great times back in the 2008 and 2009 seasons. :)

I'm sad that things didn't end up working out. I didn't see it coming after the 2009 season.

Thanks Whiz. :)

Thanks for the memories, Coach. I wish you success in all of your future endeavors, save for those Sundays when your next team lines up against the Cards.

His point is that all that happened with players that Green brought in Via draft and free agency. Granted he may not have made all of that work, but he did bring in most of that talent that ended up getting the Cards to the SB.

Same here.I spent well over $3,000.00 on my trip to the desert for the NFC Championship game....a financial decision I will NEVER regret!!!!!!!!

Y'all need better travel agents. I made that trip too, but at a fraction of the price. :)

A big thank you the Coach Whiz from me as well. I would have preferred to keep him around as I think he is a great coach, and I think he 'll be successful wherever he ends up. (The position isn't open yet, but I'd bet Whiz would be amazing in Dallas)

Go Cards!!!
