Our secondary is good
Front seven not as well
Opponents can easily run through the middle
Hicks is a liability but keep playing all the snaps

Interested to see the snap counts, I only recall seeing Collins once. Definitely seems like the Simmons treatment.

Here’s hoping Collins is not a bust. Cards don’t need another first round selection to go belly up in the fish tank, especially after so much hype. Certainly with the lopsided score, he should have gotten on the field in some situations. Cards need a better run stopper and I thought he was it.

I have a feeling it will be exactly like Simmons. Jordan Hicks is the top cut candidate next offseason (along with Jordan Phillips and Justin Pugh)

I’m not worried about Collins at all after seeing them pretty much red shirt Simmons

The lack of pass rush is def concerning. When was the last time we flat out brought the house on a third and long? Nope drop everybody back into coverage. We don’t do anything to generate pressure at all.

Stats are for losers except for one. Points allowed.

Sometimes you take away the thing that can hurt you most and that was Kupp, Woods and Jackson.
It appears that was the plan and it worked to a T. Yards gained between the 30’s didn’t mean crap.

Maybe cards are making trying to make Hicks a tradable asset by the deadline?

My buddy is a life long Rams fan, He called today to tell me how awesome our defense is.

They played well, no doubt.... But the best defense today.... was our clock draining drives, that kept the Rams offense in mostly spectator mode.... At least that's how it felt to me.
THIS! We kept their offense off the field the last 3 minutes of the first half and 5 minutes to start the 2nd half all while scoring points.
The 99 yd. drive at the end of game made it obvious we ripped the heart out of them!

There were few throws to Cupp that would have changed the game, but Stafford was so inaccurate to him today.
Stafford is good but he has these games. Also it’s a lot different playing with a 14 pt lead instead of a 14 pt deficit.

If the pass rush ever wakes up this defense could be special. Bummed about Gilmore being had for a 6th rounder but our young CB's would be okay if the pass rush helps them out, trade targets should be pass rusher / run stuffers.

I’m getting concerned he’s not an ILB. Most LBs taken in round 1 adapt quickly. I‘m not sure where he fits if he can’t play inside. Hicks is a limited player but Collins hasn’t been able to take his spot even in obvious passing situations.

I think it’s more about knowledge of the defense. Hicks has been here and knows the defense like the back of his hand. Simmons is in year two. Hicks offsets the speed of Collins with experience.
I’m not concerned about his time of play. He’s a rookie and is being groomed. 9-2…the defense is doing pretty good without him.

Adapt quickly? What round 1 ILB has done that in recent years? I’m not even trying to defend Zaven, but I feel this is straight up non-factual.
