I dont hate the Suns, I strongly dislike Suns fans based on specific incidents and the general attitude by Valley "fans" in general. If the Suns win a title, I wouldnt hate them. Hating a team because they are successful is lame. If the Suns beat the Lakers a couple more times in the playoffs, in some epic, seven-game battles (ie the way the Lakers beat Portland and Sacramento during their title runs), I would grow to hate the Suns. Last year's playoffs was a twinkle of a start.

Being a fan and watching and reading about the Lakers/Celtics rivalry makes you appreciate what having a true rival and enemy is all about. The Suns dont have one. The Cardinals certainly dont have one. I laugh when Suns fans and Atlanta Hawks fans chime in with a "Beat LA" chant because they have no clue what that chant really is about. That chant and those times are about Jack Nicholson flying to Boston and having to sit in the nosebleeds of the Garden to watch his beloved team.

I dont hate the Yankees for spending money. I hate MLB and Selig for not making the appropriate changes for the good of the game to level the playing field, regardless of market size. Changes that have been made in every other major sport.

I dont hate the Yankees for winning 26 world championships.

Had Mariano Rivera struck out Luis Gonzalez, I would hate the Yankees as much as I hate the Celtics; they would have denied my team a championship.

Celtics lost their 18th in a row.

Love this.. Right after you say you dont hate the yankees you come back with this gem lol..

WTH are you talking about???

WTH are you talking about?

He said he doesn't hate the Yankees anymore, and then busts on the Celtics. You then post the comment of him "coming back with this gem" which had nothing to do with the Yankees. Unless you think the Yankees and Celtics are the same team, there is no reasoning in your post.

Different time zone.

Speaking of that, now that I live in Chicago, can I run Jordan and Bulls smack on here.

Yes. I only have a scant amount of hate for them though, for the 91 finals and the stupidly uneccessary "the move." I won't have much heart to talk smack though regarding the bulls.

Then explain to me why you LOL that he posted how he was happy the Celtics lost their 18th straight, and why it was funny to you after he said he doesn't hate the Yankees.

Seriously...I don't understand your point, or why you thought "that gem" was funny. They are completely unrelated.

Is '91 the year, the Bulls threw the first game in LA?

Is the move, the move that Kobe keeps trying to copy about every game?

:)

"the move" is the handswitch to avoid Big Smooth that didn't need to happen. And yes, every player ever copies that move.

Yes, the Bulls lost the first game but it was in Chicago, due to Smooth hitting a three. Then they went on to sweep the Lakers in LA, with the pivotal game three going to OT and the Lakers crumbling. Worthy and Scott were gimpy that series, and I don't even think they played in the game 5.

Funny how much I used to hate the Bulls. Now that I live here I get to bask in the glory of their 10 championships in 11 years. Woo hoo!

10 titles? Don't let all the sausage up there go to your head. 6 titles in 8 years, I thought.

Although it felt like 10 titles in 11 years.

I think those 91 Lakers were the worst NBA Finals team ever. Anyone else think so?

For Suns fans, that's zero titles in 39 years. ;)

Oh yeah.

Anyone think the Lakers win in 91 if it was Jordan and Pippen v. anyone else? I don't.

You mean, if the Lakers played anyone but the Bulls?

Who knows...Pistons and Celts were always a tough matchup for the Lakers.
