Phil is ridiculous. :D

Before the game, Jackson was told Celtics coach Doc Rivers was fined $15,000 by the NBA for complaining about the officiating following Boston's overtime loss to the Lakers on Thursday night. "Is that all?" Jackson said. "It should have been more. That's Boston."

Got rid of Vlad and brought in the Stache. Interesting.

We'd kill the league in a hippy looking white guy pickup game.

Can you believe that Vlad actually asked for the trade? He's happy to go from the best team in the West to the Bobcats? That's a good one.

Anyway, this trade will end up being huge for the Lakers. Don't be surprised if one of these two becomes another Trevor Ariza. The Lakers know talent better then any team in the league.

I do read it yes, and actually it's "submit" not "send." You're going to argue that the Lakers aren't good judges of talent? They got Trevor Ariza for Brian Cook and most people (myself included) didn't think anything of it, and look how he's playing. Where was Sasha Vujacic or Jordan Farmar before the Lakers decided they were worth a shot? Their only real bomb was Kwamie Brown but even then they ended up getting Pau Gasol for him, so yes I have reason for what I believe.

You on the other hand just post non sensical crap because you're a douche bag.

Maybe if you came in once in a while other than the blue moon times when the Suns beat the Lakers, we might give two turds what you have to say.

I know we should all be devastated by this regular season loss to the Suns, but hey, on the bright side, we do still lead the overall series 121-87.

It's his ankle now huh? Hilarious.
Kobe is an egomaniacal dramaqueen, even LAKER fans must know this,it comes with being one of the greatest one-on-one basketball players to ever play this game and hating to lose i suppose....maybe.....nah, he's just a dramaqueen.

.........This trade reminded of when the Suns traded a second round pick for Skita.....made me sick the day it happened.

Trevor Ariza had showed glimpses wherever he has been of being a really good player in this league.....Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown haven't shown anything.

You're right, they haven't. It's very possible that neither of them will pan out to anything, I just think they had a reason for acquiring them. The best I would ever hope for from either of them would be solid depth. Neither of them will ever be quality starters. Ariza showed some defensive skill before the trade, but he was considered a slightly below average player on offense, that has greatly improved since he came to LA. I don't think it's too far out there to think that one of these guys could improve enough to become a good role player. Morrison I think is a boat anchor, but if Brown can get back some of what he showed in college, it might end up well for the Lakers. Only time will tell.

All I've seen is that Brown is sick in the athletics department. SICK. I thought Ariza was athletic, but damn...Brown is amazing. However, that sadly doesn't translate to being NBA quality talent.

Getting destroyed again by the Celtics in the Finals?

Please do something different, that one is getting kinda old.

Lakers will probably lose to the Cavs in the Finals this year. Boston is still really good, but I don't think they're the best in the East anymore even though Boston won the last game against them.

Obviously, I'm hoping the Lakers win the title, but when it comes right down to it, I haven't seen anything this year that convinces me that the Lakers can play defense consistently enough to win the title. In my opinion, the Laker defense is average at best, and that's not good enough to beat the East. The only shot they have is if they have home court which they fell behind in today by losing to the lowly 76'ers. If the Lakers are the road team in the finals, they have no shot.

Disagree. If they are playing a bad team in the finals, they have no shot. They stumble against teams that aren't that good. They play much better against strong competition.

Sans Bynum, they beat both Boston and Cleveland on the road. And beat them both by ten or more at home.

Now, if they have to travel to Philly or Portland on the road, they might lose. Especially Portland; they simply can't win there.

They only lose those games because they don't take them seriously enough. When the playoffs start, they will open against a sub par team (whoever gets the 8th seed) and the Lakers will crush them, no doubt at all. No team in the West will challenge them, the hardest match for them would be Portland because of the games played in the Rose Garden.

Cleveland has been consistent on Defense all season long, and has to this day lost a total of 1 home game all year. The up side, that loss was to the Lakers. I don't think there is much talent gap between Cleveland, Boston and the Lakers and ultimately home court could be the deciding factor.

The question is, when will LA pull their heads out of their collective asses and start playing the "lesser" teams more seriously? They need those wins to get the home court, they need to start playing these games with a little more urgency. If the Lakers get their act together and secure home court through out the playoffs, their chances go WAY up.

The beat the Celtics twice this season. I am under oath to not complain until the postseason.

Yeah, maybe I should be as well. Don't mistake my concern for lack of faith in my team, I'm going to root for them down to the last shot, there are just other teams that worry me. Of course, this is the case every year, including the years that they have won titles. The Lakers have a history of playing their best ball in the playoffs so we'll see what happens.

I just really want that #1 overall seed. :D
