D) Lakers repeat WC Champs...something the Suns would throw a parade for and take a week off of work.

Being a Lakers fan has stopped me from running out to get NFC West Championship gear for the Cards.

Don't celebrate divisional accomplishments. Celebrate championships. :jedi:

Still might get something (NFC West gear) for my cousin, but he's also a Suns fan so he would love it. :D

I was sick last night, so I didn't watch the game. I read the recaps this morning. :|

Really now, a win is a win but this is getting ridiculous.

As an aside though, there was a quote about someone doing a "phenomenal" job on Kobe. Bear in mind, he scored 28 on 55% shooting, with 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. I guess "phenomenal" is highly relative.

Pau was sent home w/strep throat. Lamar, Luke, Ariza and Powell all played through the flu. Pretty gutsy win, if you ask me.

Anyone else thinking Donald is only pretending to sick?

Ha ha. Nah, he gave me a ride home yesterday and looked pretty bad. Worse than normal at least.

They were down to the Knicks by 15 in the first half, at home, with the Knicks on the ass end of a back to back.

I don't care how sick a team is, you don't let that happen if you have designs on a title. They barely won this game.

Moral victories and gutsy wins are for teams that are trying to reach that next level, not for teams that are one of three teams expected to win the title.

I kinda like this Laker team. No one I truly dislike, don't really care for Sash though. A group of hard workers, I won't be upset if they win a title.

Says "walking death" himself. The guy who strep throat catches instead of the other way around.

Jeez, they're still human beings. You were sick and didn't even go to your job. I imagine playing an NBA game with the flu would be a bit more demanding. It isn't like the Knicks weren't trying to win also. Do you enjoy any Laker wins anymore?

No NBA team is going to go 82-0 and win every game by double digits.

No, I went to my job. I was sick and slept from the time I got home until the time I had to go to work. I didn't miss work.

Renz, if this had been a one-time occurence, I'd be happy to say "gutsy win with a sick team." However, they've been letting middling teams either beat them or play close with them for the past two and a half weeks, at least.

I'm not enjoying Laker wins where they are team dimmerswitch, no. I'm not enjoying them squeaking by a Phoenix team in Staples that didn't have Shaq playing and had just traded Raja and Diaw and was dressing 8 guys. I'm not enjoying half-assed defensive efforts because we know we can score at will.

That stuff isn't building a champion; it's building a team that will get its ass handed to it by Boston or Cleveland.

Color me not surprised. Lakers drop a game to the Heat by two in a low scoring affair. Oops, seems like offense isn't infallible, is it Lakers?

Pull it together. I don't want to see a Xmas Day massacre against the hated Celtics. I see that train coming though. Head on. Apply it directly to your crappy playing defense foreheads. Tatoo it there for the postseason.

And again. Lose by 3 to the Magic.

Sorry Renz, but I'm not happy one little bit with this paper tiger of a team we have. Last year they played harder. This year it seems like they feel entitled.

Meh, kinda hard to get too upset when you see it coming a mile away.

I'll be pissed off on Xmas though, because losing to the Celtics is like cutting your penis off seconds before orgasm. Or something. It really sucks.
