Two really interesting box scores tonight:

1. Bulls vs Celtics

http://www.espn.co.uk/nba/boxscore?gameId=400975142

Statement of the obvious maybe but a good PG makes all the difference in the world for other players to get good shots off. Tatum has been killing it this year, and without Kyrie for one game he produces this jackson / bender like performance.

2. Rockets vs Pelicans

http://www.espn.co.uk/nba/boxscore?gameId=400975143

Who needs bigs? Particularly if you’re Mike d’antoni, you have James harden and Chris Paul and this is the NBA in 2017.

If anyone can progress the boundaries of what MDA started with us and SSOL, and what the Warriors are currently winning with, it’s probably MDA ... all he needed was the right players (so not Kobe and not Carmelo in other words).

Interesting thoughts. Good point guards do wonders.

The Rockets do have a nice big man in Capela. This is the type center the Suns need.

12 and 11 says he’s entirely replaceable.

And the suns need a new owner, not new players; how Kerr and MDA, both former suns, have moved on from us to outstanding success (I’ve got the rockets this season to win it all), isn’t a coincidence; we had em, they left ... bravo sarver.

Be careful of revisionist history. MDA left when Kerr suggested he hire a defensive coach. IOW MDA left because of Kerr, not Sarver.

The stats of this 23 year old center keep getting better each year he plays. The Suns could use one of these "replaceable" centers.

D'Antoni had a couple of rough coaching stops in New York and Los Angeles before he was hired by Houston. Don't get me wrong, I think the Suns should have hired D'Antoni back when they had the opportunity. Kerr was not a good GM when he was with the Suns.

Yeah my memory isn’t good there - I thought it was sarver who suggested the defensive coach. Still, we had them and we don’t anymore and Sarver could have stepped in somewhere; who honestly doesn’t try harder to keep a 58 wins per season coach.

Kerr is a better coach than a gm. His negotiating skills are not good. DAntoni isn't so hot at GM either.

The Indiana Pacers will host the 2021 NBA All-Star Game, league sources tell ESPN.

Kay Felder has been waived. I'm ready to add him to our collection of small point guards. :)

I liked him coming into the NBA and still think he might find success somewhere as he is only 22.

It took Patty Mills and Avery Johnson time to find a home.

Felder didn't perform very well for Cavs last year and his stats have taken a big hit this year... pushing from sub par to sub sub sub par. 100 pctpts drop on FG & on 3's... TO a 65% increase. Likely to find a home in China...

I just needed another PG for the Suns 6 foot and under point guard crew. :p

Perhaps he goes to China or finds his way onto a G-League roster but I think his days of playing in the NBA are not over. He has only played in 14 games this season.

Porzingis goes 0-11 from the field as Knickerbockers beat the Celtics. Even more improbable, Michael Beasley hits 13 of 20 for 32 points.

Minor but boy did I undersell Capella; 6'10" with a 7'3" wingspan and doing what he's doing...The Rockets absolutely have their big three under control with him on board.

Celtics forward Marcus Morris told ESPN he will return today against his twin brother, Markieff, and the Wizards. Has missed last eight games due to knee injury. "This has to be history, Marcus said. "First twins to play on Christmas against each other."

The Chicago Bulls are 7-2 since forward Nikola Mirotic returned to the lineup and have been playing really good basketball — something the front office likes but doesn’t want to see continue if it means the team will lose their draft position.
http://amicohoops.net/report-bulls-mirotic-still-open-to-trade/
On the season (nine games), Mirotic is averaging 17.9 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 50.5 percent from the field and 48.0 percent from three.
