Derrick Rose will reportedly be released by Jazz.

A possible Suns option at PG?

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn

Utah will also send Joe Johnson to Sacramento, and Cleveland will send Jae Crowder and Derek Rose to Utah, league sources tell ESPN. Sacramento sends George Hill to the Cavs.

100%. Where would he go in the East though...that actually had a chance to beat a Western team? Boston?

Boston, Philly or maybe even... the Heat again. LeBron/other MAX player plus the rest of the Lakers still isn't close to the Warriors and would prob have problems with Houston and SA if Leonard comes back healthy.

That said, it would be hilarious for so many reasons if he went to the Lakers... with the Cavs being the team that gave them the cap space to do it. It would also be hilarious to watch all my Laker friends who HATE LeBron now have to love him... and even better when they'd have to root for him AND watch him fail. It's all win win as far as I'm concerned.

Too bad for Joe Johnson unless Sacto is home or close to it. Or perhaps he is just going to retire anyways?
Joe was the reason they got past the Clippers last season in the playoffs.

The Warriors are going to be losing either Klay or Green next year, as they can't afford them both, so they might start looking semi-vulnerable next year.

Right. I forgot how beloved Kevin Love was over there... especially after a lot of the Cavs thought he faked illness because he didn’t want to play.

Dudes been dogcrap since the injury. That’s the main reason they’re trading him.

It feels like you’re just saying he’s a cancer as some subconscious way of defending McD for trading him for peanuts.
Well. Cheese. I am glad you are tapped into my sub conscience so well. You know me better than I do.

I really don't care about evaluating McD on this. I just do not want to be anywhere near IT. I think he would be a horrible influence on our players.

Well. I have to hand it to Cleveland. They are blowing it up, just like the Clippers. LeBron might as well waive his no trade clause.

it's the only explanation for you just completely ignoring reality in this situation.

It's weird the Nuggets can't find a trade for Faried. He would be an awesome bench player.

Not quite sure. I actually think Cavs improved their team for the rest of the season.

Not sure how good Clarkson is on D but he sure is an improvement over IT. I'd take Nance over Frye any day of the week. Both of these guys are only 25.

Hill and Hood are also an improvement over Wade and Rose given their age and injuries.

I actually think if you're talking this year with both Houston and OKC having beaten the Warriors twice, and OKC blew them out twice, it's not clear to me they're still head and shoulders above in the West. Next year unless they just go into cap hell, they're probably going to have to move one of the big 4.

I still think Houston is the worst matchup for the Warriors I'm not saying they can't beat them, but I don't think it's a given like people seem to be thinking.

I'll have to see how the Cavs pieces all fit now, Clarkson is a hot and cold scoring guard, very ball dominant which is what they seemed to hate about IT. Hill is a bit more pass oriented. They have plenty of time to integrate them all.

Really wonder if the Lakers intend to keep IT, I am inclined to think they don't and will be freeing up money trying to sign George and another FA. I doubt it's going to be LeBron but they seem intent to make a run at him.

Derrick Rose is likely to be bought out by the Jazz after the trade to send him there. Rumors have already started of him reuniting with Thibs in Minnesota.

He signed with the Cavs for the minimum to play with Lebron but got injured early in the year and then left for a few weeks because of personal problems. Then he gets dealt at the trade deadline and is likely to be bought out. It's amazing how far he's fallen since his MVP season. Who knows if he'll get a contract offer for any more than the minimum again this offseason. I know he's contemplated retirement but he'd lose out on a lot of endorsement money if he did that. He's gotten over $11 million from Adidas this year as part of a contract he signed in 2012. He's only 29 and won't turn 30 until next season since his birthday is in October. I don't think he's had a career that would warrant a Hall of Fame induction. He's got to be the first MVP that may not ever be inducted into the Hall, he's definitely not a 1st ballot Hall of Famer.

Here's the article about him being bought out...

And here's another about what he's getting paid by Adidas...

Doesn't matter. By the time we're relevant again, he and Chris Paul will have retired.

This is also the hope looking at the Warriors... their players getting older.

However, then there are the Spurs who keep on keeping on.

Hell, by the time the Suns are relevant again, Devin Booker will have retired.

...and be six feet under, at this rate.

Hopefully, McD will get the coaching decision right at that time. 63rd time’s a charm, right?
