he’s swung and missed on a lot of guys. The Mavs have been bad for awhile now.

I love Cuban but he hasn’t been that great

Mavericks have won a championship and Mark Cuban has adeptly moved them into position to compete for another while the Suns are still in rebuild mode.

He road Dirk to long and the two new euro's are not going win in the playoffs.
The addition of Tyson Chandler, in his prime, was the difference maker in the Mavs winning the championship

So the Suns later tried the same thing, but Chandler was past his prime by then.

Our Suns -- too little, too late. Nothing original. Except, of course for gimmicks.
Like three lead Point Guards. Or no lead Point Guard. Or drafting competing
Power Forwards at the same time. While going through many General Managers
and Head Coaches.

The guys on the radio always talk about the Suns winning a championship in 2011 if they would’ve brought back Amare. I think the Mavs would’ve worked us though. That Dirk/Chandler frontcourt was too good that season. I remember Dallas smoking a 55 win OKC team in the playoffs... They were burning too hot.

The Suns have been successful in marketing these gimmicks, but not with actually winning any games.

I would call using the word "successful" in any capacity with "not with actually winning
any games" an oxymoron.

Especially under the ringmaster of the 3-ring circus, Robert "The Sad Clown" Sarver.

"Step right up, ladies and gentlemen. See the three-headed Point Guard.
Next show, we'll show you the no-headed Point Guard.
Then the two-headed rookie Power Forward.
Then how many ex-General Managers and ex-Head Coaches can we see
coming out of a station wagon?
And see DBook the sword swallower and elephant trainer and on the high
trapeze without a safety net. The Sarver 3-ring circus."

It appears to be all about money for Cleveland. Wish the Suns could do smething like this to acquire a FC.

Wait... Jazz sent two second round picks which the Suns do not have in the next two drafts.

Bobby Marks‏Verified account @Bobby Marks42

Jordan Clarkson is on expiring contract with a $13.4M cap hit. Dante Exum has two years left at $9.6M per year. Cleveland will create a $3.83M trade exception and will also go from $1.3M to $5.1M below the luxury tax.

I believe Tristan Thompson's albatross of a contract is finally expiring. I'd swap that with Cleveland for Tyler Johnson and a future 2nd. Include Jared Harper if they're interested also. Might be talked into including Okobo but I doubt Cleveland really wants another combo guard. They've drafted Sexton, Garland, and have Exum and Knight, plus they'd have Tyler if they'd make that deal with us.

Since the Suns do not have their next two second round picks it makes the trade less attractive to Cavaliers. I like the idea but I'm not sure about the selling point.

Knicks might be another team to look too or maybe the Bulls.

2nd round picks aren't really that attractive anyways. Most teams don't want to be overloaded with them either. If Cleveland gets Utah's the next couple of years and ours after though that might be more enticing than having Utah's now as well as someone else's. No one needs 3 2nd rounders. That's why I'm thinking future 2nd's might appeal to them.

Just an idea. Tristan Thompson isn't on my wishlist by any means but it wouldn't be a bad return for Tyler. We still get cap space this summer and add someone who can bang inside with Ayton or on his own.

Second round picks are like currency used to balance a trade. I'm not against Tristan Thompson so if Cleveland takes it fine. However, I think another team can top that trade unless they have an interest in one of the Suns lesser players.

Reporting with ⁦‪@mcten‬⁩: Stars are aligned for Lakers-Clippers on Christmas Day. Lakers conducted impromptu practice this morning and LeBron James (groin) and Anthony Davis (knee) are expected to play vs. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard at 8 PM ET on ABC

What a great effort by the Warriors! @Russ Smith

Yeah they said biggest Xmas day upset in 30 years. Pretty impressive. I know people hate Draymond but when he's healthy the defense on this team completely changes. Sure getting Cauley Stein and D Lo back is helping too but they were so bad on defense early in the year when Draymond wasn't healthy and now that he is they seem to have flipped a switch.

They're still a really bad team headed for a lottery pick but they're playing much better now.

Three wins in a row vs. pretty good teams.

John Collins returned to the Hawks after 25 game suspension on December 23rd in a 121-118 loss @ the Cavaliers.

He had 27 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
