Amare is owning Frye
Amare is owning Frye.
Amare is owning Frye
Frye has never played well versus Phoenix.
I've come to the conclusion that Amare gave birth to Frye.
Center - Channing Frye
Forward - David Lee
Forward - Renaldo Blackman
Guard - Mardy Collins
Guard - Nate Robinson
vs.
Amare and 4 guys from the stands
Halftime score 50-30
I sat behind Spike Lee and just watched him trying to get into Balkman but watching some no name guy Chris Owens actually outplaying him was enough and Spike left after 3.
That was the biggest turnout of the Summer league so far, Knick hats everywhere to start the game.
Channing Frye didnt belong anywhere near Amare first off and second Ronaldo Blackman will never be accused of not hustling but he is like so many knick players athletes great ones but not basketball players

“To come out and play strong back-to-back nights, I feel really good. I can feel the improvement,” said Stoudemire, who hit 10 of 16 shots from the floor although he had only one rebound and committed seven fouls for a second straight night. “That’s the first time I took off one-footed off the (repaired) microfractued leg, so that felt pretty good.”
Is anybody else as blown away by this statement as I am? The FIRST time he's jumped one-footed off his left leg?! That's the leg every right-handed person uses to jump to dunk or lay a ball up! In all this rehab/practice/scrimmaging/playing, he hasn't ever jumped off his left leg?! Not even once?!
It begs the question: has Amare been told by doctors up until now not to jump off his left leg? If so, that's unreal... almost a year after the surgery, and to be told not to try something THAT simple?! The microfracture surgery must be extraordinary in its invasiveness/destructiveness! Not even ACL tears do THAT much damage...
Of course, the alternative explanation is that doctors gave Amare the OK to jump off his left leg a while back, but he still hadn't tried until now due to his own fears. Equally stunning! Amare's mental scars must be worse than he's letting on, particularly if doctors gave him the OK in the past, but he was too afraid to try until now.
I'm most shocked because there's nothing more basic/fundamental than a right handed player jumping off his left leg. Watch the most basic layup drill, and you'll see it done by every player on every single approach to the basket.
Sigh. I don't think any of us appreciate what Amare's been through this past year... physically and mentally. And how far away he still is from ever again being the blazingly quick and explosive player who promised to dominate the league for a decade.
Microfracture = butchery. Amare may still be able to rise above it, but it's more likely he's going to be a different player. Never the rim-rocking lightning bolt we once adored.

I'd rather give the case for optomism than get upset for his pessimism. Besides he's new.
On the other hand, Skorp is hopeless.
