Wow - three-way footrace for 2-4. Hippies come in last - will BJ have to run the race without shoes?

I'm guessing yes. I think he'll get some new shoes along the way.

Good for Yolanda and Ray. That car deal is sweet!

I can't stand MoJo. Why did she whine so much about being yielded? "It's not fair. It's not fair." Well, life's not fair and, um, hello! It's part of the game.

I don't like them. I hope they lose next round.

Excellent ending!

Loved how Yolanda gave the hippies her purple sweats, and the frats gave him a pear of flip-flops...

Hey Mojo ... Buh bye! Could she be any whinier? It seems as though everything she had to do on the race was "the hardest thing I've ever had to do." Makes me wonder where guys draw the line. How beautiful does a woman have to be for you to put up with that much whining?

Was so glad she is gone. I wish they had been eliminated two weeks ago, instead of the Franberries. WHine, Whine, Whine.....

So this is how things go in Thailand: The monkeys get a huge table full of elaborately carved and arranged fruit; the humans get deep-fried grasshoppers and crickets. Go figure. As our racers take off Ray and Yolanda and Eric Jeremy showed what compassion they could, donating a pair of pants and a pair of flip flops to pantless, shoeless BJ. MoJo staying true to their form left a generous sneer.

BJ and Tyler show that hippies are the best beggars; it is an art form, as they gathered cash in Darwin. Huge lack of judgment not going for the ticket reservation first, but their luck returned from walkabout and got them a ticket on an earlier flight that arrived later (CBS, you could have explained that a bit).

I want to think that the people in the bus terminal in Bangkok intuited that misinforming MoJo about the bus times was the right thing to do but that is stretching it a bit even for me. While my darling hippies lack of cash worked to their advantage, since they didn't waste any time at a hotel.

It was about time we saw a good old-fashioned eating competition, to earn the fast forward BJ and Tyler temporarily downed their bowls full of traditional after-school snacks; (Have these folks not heard of Fritos?) sending them into first place.

I'm so glad RaYo and the frats took an unexpected route to garb Buddha, both were witty with the comments while working; (I get a lot of my girls gold-leafing) rather than carrying clay pots, mostly because that paved the way for another classic Monica meltdown. Joseph was rather sweet and supportive at the elimination and props for not making them open their Travelocity envelope since the prize had already been won. Maybe MoJo is not so bad in non-Race situations. But you've got to admit, they were fun to hate for the past couple of weeks.

The three teams left to run for the cash are all likeable (yes including the horny toads, even if I'm not quite over the canceling of the cabs incident) and have worked hard to win the prize. Any of them deserve to win in my book.

Well, go Hippies!

I was pulling for the Frat Boys...they were hilarious this episode...the Japanese movie talking they did had me rolling.

Good final challenge...another good season for Amazing Race.

Pretty cool, at least to me, how the Hippies and Frat Boys pretty much dominated the entire race...rarely were they behind (except for the Hippies being last twice, but it sure seemed like they weren't)....

Looking forward to next season :)

It was definitely a great season. The frat boys looked really ticked off at the end. They were really funny. I enjoyed watching them. Love the hippies though! They were a lot of fun.

So darling Tyler speaks Japanese, how cool is that? Though the Race is set up so that language barriers are an annoyance that can be worked around, navigation barriers are another story. While they put their hearts in it Ray and Yolanda are seriously navo challenged.

Our racers sprint through Japan to the world’s busiest intersection and it was kind of cute that all three teams seemed to think that Hachiko was the name of the guy who gave them the clue, not the name of the statue. The hippies deliver using funky little bikes while the others took royalty for tea, all meeting up again at a “capsule” hotel -- Call me a glutton for claustrophobia, but sleeping in a tube looked like fun. Then for some real fun we are off to the amusement park. Fujikyu Highlands' roller coasters eat Six Flags for lunch. Though they made that challenge look easier than it had to be.

Sadly, Ray and Yolanda's car must have eaten their toll ticket for lunch. I get the feeling they're not quite as in love with the country as the hippies were. Though once stripped of their money, Ray and Yolanda did seem to enjoy themselves begging for yen from drunken business men in the wee hours of the morning.

BJ and Tyler's attempt at a "dirty tricks" was useless. Surprisingly the hotel concierge lied for them telling Eric and Jeremy there was no Internet access. Then Eric and Jeremy discovered the Internet's dirty secret, sometimes you can still get a more accurate answer on the phone. Don't tell my boss I said that.

Things evened out once again on the way to Anchorage. No one discussed the shock of going from bustling Tokyo to desolate Alaska in a day, nor did they mention how everyone was equipped with down jackets and snowpants. Through all that ice-fishing and snow-shoeing, Ray pointed out what most race fans already know, things even out at the airport. Too bad Ray and Yolanda had trouble getting out of the airport again.

So it was down to an edge-of-our-seats battle of wits and flag-waving between Eric and BJ. I'm ashamed to say, I had no idea what a Russian flag looks like, let alone a Thai one, so I can't fault the frats. Brains beat out dumb luck and my darling hippies take home the bucks, Eric and Jeremy were pouty 2nd place finishers and Ray and Yolanda come in smiling at third as another race falls into the books.

Call me a cynic but I have a real problem with a "winning" team that finished last twice during the race but was saved both times by the "pre determined" non elimination round! That's the one part of Amazing Race I think needs to be changed, the penalty of losing all the money isn't enough, teams always end up with enough money to continue playing. And it just doesn't ring true that they don't decide to keep teams like the hippies for tv sake, I just don't believe they don't use that to keep teams in that they think make for good tv.

They won the last leg fair and square but the frat boys were the only team that never finished last, if I were them I'd be mad too.

Couple things in my opinion, 1st I have no problem with non-elimination legs, and guess what they are PRE-DETERMINED, they are not chosen on the fly just to keep a good team.

Second, my main complaint with the show is the airport issue, its allways such a balancing fact that a team can really suck, have to go get on a plane and end up right back in for that leg, that to me doesnt seem fair. I think all flight information should happen at the very begining of a leg (i.e. you open the 1st clue and go to the airport and do your flying) all the teams are tehn bunched up at the begining of a leg of the race but not in the middle of the leg. Either that or change the flight rules to state no more then half the teams can be on the same flight at the same time.

My point is I don't believe the pre determined bit at all. If you watch the show season by season it's amazing how often the " good tv" teams get saved by this. Maybe it really is coincidence but it's just hard for me to believe that they don't think uh oh the hippies are in last, people love them, so let's keep them on. I wish they'd do away with non eliminations all together, every week the last place team should go home IMHO.

Again the hippies won the last leg fair and square, my point is they should never have been there, twice, if not for being rescued by that rule.

Agree on the airport issue, I also hate the thing doesn't open until 9 thing that regularly allows everyone to catch up. I love the show but there are certain issues I think need to be addressed. They need to be more clear on what's allowed, should the frat boys have been allowed to cancel the cabs(and how did they know which cab company to call?)? Should teams be allowed to tell people to lie for them, which is quite common now. I think they need to make that stuff clear up front because as the race tightens that's the stuff that causes arguments between teams.

I really liked the hippies, but I just don't like the idea of a 2 time loser winning the whole thing, I just hate the non elimination thing, I just refuse to believe it's not in there specifically to allow the producers to keep teams in they think help the ratings.

I disagree Russ - the risk of lawsuits/fines if the non-elimination legs were not pre-determined would be too great. If the NEL are not pre-determined, then basically the producers are fixing the race, which is illegal in the U.S. (and U.S. law would apply to the this domestically shown program). And I can recall a number of crappy teams getting the NEL.

It was a good ending. I watched all the episoded and liked the Frat Boys early, but their cockiness and superiority over the rest of the participants turned me off. Mojo were jerks too.

Glad to see the hippies win out of the final three. They were good sports and deserved it.

I do agree they should get rid of the "non elimination legs". What's the point? It takes away from the competitive of the game when teams are still in it after they basically lose a leg.

That makes sense but it just seems too often to me that a popular team gets saved.

I can't remember which season, but there was one season where 2 teams complained after being eliminated that they felt the non elimination thing was used to save popular teams and that they felt it was unfair. But you're right if they were really doing it odds are some team would have sued by now.
