There’s been no report that the Pacers will actually extend an offer sheet. What happens if they don’t? Will the Suns offer a near max deal or would they rather let him play for one more year and then walk?

Bingo... the only ones talking about Max $ is DAs agent and ignorant media. The Suns FO is not alone in their true value of DAI think the Suns will offer Ayton what they planned to offer last summer, somewhere around 4 years at a $100 million.
Fair enough. I don't believe we need a Center to get it done. I think if we had a really good PF and better back PG we would be just fine.No way. Getting KD and keeping Ayton is the wet dream best scenario. It has a snowballs prayer in hell - or Phoenix.

Bill Duffy.Correct me if I'm wrong here, but JJ said the organization last year was comfortable offering a 3 - 4 year max, but not a 5 year. Ayton's camp said that was a non-starter.
Now it appears the market for a 4 year max is soft to non-existant. This seems like a fairly significant oops to me. Who is Ayton's agent?

I don't know this for sure but I suspect Duffy wasn't all that involved until things fell apart. There was a female agent mentioned initially and with all the ESPN talk about how he was such a lock for a max contract, maybe they just didn't even consider the possibility they'd need to engage with us?Correct me if I'm wrong here, but JJ said the organization last year was comfortable offering a 3 - 4 year max, but not a 5 year. Even so, that still doesn’t mean you have to go full max. You just have to figure out where you think the match line occurs. Just going full max without thinking about where that demarcation is ends up being really management. The Suns would hopefully match an offer sheet. They would probably like a lesser amount.
Exactly. It’s sounds good in theory, but then you have to have actual players that meet those criteria and they have to actually be available. But who are those guys. Who’s a really good PF that we can realistically get and what PG are you going to get that’s willing to come be a back up.

Deandre Ayton straight up for Myles Turner is a loss for the Suns. He is an expiring contract.
Yeah, if we can’t Turner and at least a heavily protected first round pick or two, that’s really weak.I will be so pissed off.
I guess does it matter to Ayton where he gets his 2 hours of sleep and hours of video games while making millions of dollars.
That's an open ended question. If the Suns could use Ayton as a trade asset, there is a number of things that could happen with a number of players. Especially, if it was a 3 way trade. So, that depends? The point is, if Ayton's value was what everybody thought it would be, you could either make a trade or get assets to garner another trade. But who are those guys.
