Monty, intentionally or unintentionally, made DA the scapegoat after the G7 massacre; which shadowed Chris Paul's indifference he displayed for most of the series.
There is zero doubt that CP3 is biggest goat of everyone for why we blew that series and agree Monty did no favors to DA with the postgame presser.

What an odd thing to say! Who ever claimed that he's a gutless wimp?

You realize that you're first statement completely contradicts your second, right?

Wut? You just described how he WAS scapegoated?

Yeah it was a BS post. To try and claim other players have received as much criticism as Ayton is just ridiculous. Monty threw him under the bus yelling on the sidelines and then not even mentioning him when talking about the future.

Gutless wimp? That right there’s shows where the poster is coming from

Curious why you missed the word "only." But ok.

Oh please, I didn't say whether he was a gutless wimp. You don't like me so you'll do anything you can to attack me. Using "the poster" doesn't hide that fact. LOL

I feel I had more right to call Ayton an "immature idiot," because he is known to stay up playing his video games when he should be sleeping before a game, than anyone would to call Ayton a "gutless wimp." I know nothing about how much nerve Ayton has.

The OJ Simpson situation drove home for me how unwise it is to think the public persona of most celebrities truly mirrors who they really are. So, while I see a nice goofy kid who means well but sometimes lets himself and others down, I just don't know who he really is. I have a slightly better feel for Monty just because he's been around and available for scrutiny so much longer and I don't believe he is the petty, mean-spirited person some posters here are making him out to be.

The article didn’t say he was staying up late and not sleeping before big games it’s the opposite. It said he’s so wound up AFTER big games he can’t come down so he plays video games to relax himself

Stop already we know you love Ayton, but there is zero way to defend his addiction! Anyone who admits I play video games all day everyday to the point of only sleeping a couple hours a night is an immature idiot! Your paying a guy millions of dollars a professional athlete, take your ******* job seriously and rest and work on your game an focus on EARNING a big contract an not just assume you deserve one! Anyone can see he has the tools to be a great player but his immaturity is a HUGE concern. 23 yr old big man number one pick available and almost NO interest says it all. He values himself more than anyone else does, we may have seen the best of his career last years playoffs we have no idea! He was playing for a max contract this year and how did he look? If that doesn’t motivate him not sure giving him a boatload of money is ever gonna make him play any harder and take his career seriously!

Being young & immature while putting up double doubles despite of the immaturity. I'll take that for a $1,000 Alex.

I too found the ESPN article a bit contradictory if one reads the article closely.

Are you serious? Ayton was visibly pulled, and in spite of many others playing much worse than him, Ayton got a ton of blame.
I still think Aytons agent told Monte to pull him. No need to **** all over the kid AND put his career at risk when you're down by 30.

Well, after reading his explanation, I at least stopped to consider the possibility that Ayton isn't addicted to video games, but plays them because he's too wound up from the prior game to sleep.
And you? You're just saying "you love Ayton" and using lots of exclamation points. That's like the time Bart Simpson tried to remind Dolph, Jimbo and Kearny what Jebediah Springfield supposedly did, and they immediately mocked "We forgot how much ya love Jebediah Springfield....he's your boyfriend."

The Athletic started releasing it's NBA tiers and they put Ayton as the 45th best player in the NBA. Miles Turner is 80

It's crazy - all we hear about is what strong leaders Monty/CP are, yet I didn't see any leadership in the Mavs series at all. Still can't get over what happened in the playoffs, it just doesn't make any sense.

That’s a hell of a reference
