NBC will preempt its hit freshman drama The Blacklist on Monday, November 18. It will air a yet-to-be announced The Voice special -- most likely some sort of a clip show - from 8-9PM. Then a new episode of The Voice will air from 9-11PM. The episode of The Blacklist originally scheduled to run on November 18, titled Anslo Garrick, will now air on Monday, November 25.

They STILL were not totally committing, though. Maybe they're trying to think their way out of that. Howabout Red killed one or both of her parents -- she was adopted at age 4, right? And he did remove a dated-looking woman's photo from the stewmaker's trove. And then he was looking up some other young female on VICAP.

I'd say that ep is easily on par with the best eps of 24.

Die Hard FTW!

It's funny, when this show started everyone said it's a "Silence Of The Lambs" rip off. this past episode was Die Hard absolutely.
I think they are doing a great jog of paying homage to classics.

The Black List!

Was wondering if anybody watched the show "The Black List" on NBC. Which James Spader plays Red Remington a former govt agent who helps the FBI on difficult cases and only will talk to a rookie profiler?

As that rookie FBI agent may be his long lost daughter. As he plays a rogue agent he was on the FBI most wanted list. But now wants to make a deal in exchange for immunity.

Really an interesting show. Spader rocks!

Love this show. Found it on demand. Now I am all caught up and hate having to wait a week to see how the Winter Finale ends.

Can't wait for it to come back in Jan can't wait to see who the husband is. This show is the least predictable of any show out right now.

My vacation is coming up soon for X-Mas. So, I am plan on catching up. I have so many shows on DVR. Been to busy with the new house. I plan on doing a marathon since I have not watched since the pilot. Friends of mine are chomping at the bit to tell me what is going on. LOL.

Bittersweet. The show is back and one of its biggest fans isn't here to see it.

Beyond the sun.
Every week this show moves more toward it's female audience. She was enthralled by the last episode, while I found it predictable, unrealistic, and after a few minutes would find a reason to check my phone or leave the room. The male characters (good guys and bad guys) all fall into a one-dimensional, stereotypical archetype of feminine perception. I'm not hating on all the interesting roles going to women, it is just starting to feel like a melodramatic FBI version of 'Desperate Housewives'.

The last two minutes, with an excellent use of Gordon Lightfoot's 'Sundown', were what I was hoping this show would be.

Well, two episodes in to this round, and I tend to agree with you. I find my attention wandering - a lot - It's not that the females have the strong roles, it's just a more TV-ish and superficial writing/directing/acting problem I think. e.g., this week's episode could have been any of a hundred average cop shows in story, characters, tone, pace, etc. -- right up to the end, which was quite promising. (Ha! I knew it!)

I've missed the last 2 episodes. I started watching them but fell asleep part way through. Hopefully I recorded them. :p

Other than Tom taking a bullet from Lizzy, and Berlin still walking the streets,,,,,the season ending show was rather weak in my opinion. Still, its a good show with a following of high ratings. James Spader's acting skills make the show successful.

Well it gave the big payoff of red being her father in the last scene. That's what they were leading to all season.

But it is so obvious and has been since episode 3 or 4. Seeing that last scene didn't even really confirm anything new, since the "hints" they had given were pretty painfully obvious. Hell, Lizzy even called him out for being her dad at least twice and he deflected/lied.

The big twist would be that he ISN'T really her dad at this point.

And I say all this as a big fan of the show.

James Spader deserves an Emmy for this. Wonder if Lizzy really quit the FBI or that she wants to make Red think she did quit? But really is working for them.

They confirmed he was in the fire with the burn marks on his back. I also agree that Spader deserves an emmy.
