Saw a Maddox video on Youtube a few weeks back. It was interesting in that Maddox said, when most pitchers got in a jam they look to throw harder to get it past the batter. He said he always looked to throw a bit softer and locate better.Is it weird that he reminds me of Greg Maddux with his throwing style, pitch selection and movement? Obviously, he's nowhere near Maddux, but he does remind me of him.
Maddux was the absolute master of working batters inside and outside...and letting the natural movement of his pitches jam batters or chase them off the plate.
