Vegas, baby, yeah!
Yep - beating Seattle and St. Louis will bring them to a 9-7 record. Picking up a win against MN or NE (most likely MN) will get them to 10-6.

Who'd have figured we'd be at this point 2 years ago?

About as impressive as getting lucky in a women's prison with a fist full of pardons.

We have a saying in golf: its not how its how many. I don't care how they get there as long as we're sitting in the Frat House the first weekend of 2009 watching Car*inals football.

Your right,I'm not going to be any less excited at that first playoff game regardless of what plays out between now & then.

I'll bet that if SF someow manages to beat Buffalo that the House will be Rocking for the Rams game as well.

So what....

We are slowly becoming the joke we always were.

swd, I hate to say but you're right. I happen to be one of those fans that expects our team to play as their record indicates. When we don't I'm livid. How can anyone watch that sham of a display yesterday and say we are a good team?

Doesn't matter if they are a good team or not. We get to watch some games in December AND January that actually mean something besides determining draft order.

If the Car*s won the division 4 years in a row and 3 of those years they were either 10-6 or 9-7 and none of the other teams in the division had a single winning season during those 4 years would you be happy?

Seattle fans sure seemed to be.

Happy? I'd be freaking ecstatic! I don't care how we get there, just that we get there.

No,not if the played a bad gameon the east coast,on the road, and on national TV. That would mean they're horrible and have no business being in the playoffs.

The first year Seattle won the division, 2004, they lost 34-9 to the Bills and gave up 434 yards. Later they lost 37-14 to the Jets giving up 482 yards. They won the division at 9-7. The next season they were 13-3.

The Giants only played .500 ball the second half of last season. They lost 41-17 at home to the Vikings. Manning threw 4 INTS three of which were returned for TDs in that game. Did the Giants have no business being in the playoffs?

In 2005 the Steelers lost 26-7 on Monday Night to the Colts. Willie Parker rushed for 48 yards. The Colts had 366 yards of offense to Pitts 197 and the Steelers dropped to 7-4. They lost again the next week to drop to 7-5.

This isn't the NCAA. There are no computer rankings. You don't need style points to play for the Championship. If you win your division you belong in the playoffs.

Duck, I never said I'd be unhappy with winning the divison at any time. IMO that alone is a worthy accomplishment no matter which one you're in. I'm talking about our play, and frankly I don't give a damn what Seattle, NY or any other team did in the seasons they went on to the playoffs, I'm focused on the crappy play and uninspired showings that make me tear my hair out put forth by these Cardinals. Believe me, as I said in another post, who are we as Cardinal fans to expect this team to go 16-0 destroying everyone along the way to a Super Bowl win? We have no history other than a huge win over Dallas to lay our hat on, hell even Seattle owned this divisoin for years, yet here we are claiming our first division crown in 33 years. This is the first time in centuries that the Cardinals have been "good". There's nothing wrong with expecting more and wanting to see us last more than 1 home playoff game.

Right now, going undefeated in the NFC West is like being the best surfer in the state of Nebraska. Whats the point?

Don't underestimate the impact some playoff experience can have on how our players perform next season. Winning breeds winning.

People are venting right now..totally understanable after last nights debacle...We will all judge the merits of the 08 Cardinals season after it is finished. If the Cards manage to 1) win the division, 2)host a playoff game, 3)win that game and advance I'm sure most of us fans will be happy with the progress this team has made. Like I said this team needs to go 2-2 at worst and win a playoff game..after that it's gravy. Anything less would be a disappointment given our 7-3 start.

I'd luv to be an Eagles' fan....

and WATCH the PLAY-OFFS on TV! Then I can stick out my chest after the game and brag about how we play in the NFC EAST! GREAT! Hope you enjoyed watching the game! Sports is entertainment. So, how "entertained" are you when your team isn't part of it?? As for me being an actual Eagles' fan? NOT!! I LIKE SANTA CLAUS!! :D

Yeah, we might as well just lose some division games too. Let's tank the Rams and Seahwaks games. It's all so pointless. :bang:

I hear you.

We've got 3 games at home where the Car*s are 10-3 2007-08. Plenty of time to turn things around and get rolling toward that game in 2009.

I was more concerned about the performance against the 49ers than the Eagles. Arizona has to get more dominant at home. The defense has to step up. The offense put together 6 scoring drives against probably the best defense in the NFL (Giants) and yet the Car*s were never really in contention.
