The Cardinals will not win more than 4 games with Anderson as the qb

Anderson is so bad, no wonder he couldn't even win the starting job in Cleveland. Stevie Wonder could throw more accurate than Anderson. Just let Hall start and play for the future because Anderson is definitely not the future with this team.

I've already predicted that DA only wins one game with us. The problem is, today was that one win. I thought we'd start 1 and 4 and Whis would insert Hall during the bye week. After watching today's game, I see no reason to not make the change immediately. If we're going to suck I'd rather suck with at least some hope for the future.

Well, DA must of read this thread because he finally connected for a TD to Fitz. :D I know Whiz won't put Hall in as the starter so I really hope the Cardinals can run the ball effectively.

Name the QB with a winning record as the starter for the AZ Cardinals?

(hint: he is 1-0)

John Navarre won his first start with the Cardinals too.

edit: Never mind he didn't win

What sucks is that the win today prolongs the misery.

Someone said Max Hall after 6 games...sounds about right.

Here's a crazy idea, how about we give DA some time to you know, learn the system? He was off with his throws today, but to me it seemed like the timing was off more than anything. I'm not saying DA is going to be a Pro Bowler but lets give it some time to see if he improves. This will also give Hall some time to learn the system.

If he didn't have a history in the NFL of being inaccurate and inconsistent you could use that excuse. Has his timing been off his whole career then? if so he has a broken internal clock.

We could say the same for Tim Hightower and holding onto the football.

You won't get an argument from me about that. Last year when he coughed up the ball Wells came in and did the same thing though -- maybe it is coaching.

Anderson's leading receiver today was the ground. He was 1-6 or 1-7 at one point, absolutely missing everyone. It wasn't until Breaston decided "Hey even if the ball is 5 feet behind me I'm gonna use my Street Fighter Dhalsim arms and make a play" that the offense started moving anywhere in the second half.

It was particularly awesome seeing highlights during the game of Matt Hasselbeck and Aaron Rodgers hitting receivers in stride for TDs. Really shows what we lack with a guy like Anderson wildly flinging the ball in the general direction of his target.

I'm not going to disagree that DA looked awful today. I won't argue that he was awful in Cleveland. I won't call for him being benched after his first game which he also happened to win for the Cardinals. Especially since he has been the starter on this team for about a month. Dude threw for 287 yards today, if Leinart was the starter he (Leinart) probably wouldn't have reached 287 yards passing until week 3.

Sheesh, if you guys are calling for his head after a win, I sure don't want to be around for the gang lynching after a loss. The whole team was out of sync today as we usually are during the first part of the year. There are a bunch of new players in a bunch of new positions.

At least give them credit for a win. The Rams are going to surprise a few people this year.

I think that it is a lack of accountability. If our backs understood that they need to either fix their fumbling issues or stay the hell off the field, maybe they would put more effort into figuring out how to hold onto the ball.

don't agree, but who cares. 1-0 is 1-0 and our schedule is pathetic this year. i'll take pathetic wins over pathetic teams over pathetic losses to pathetic teams (which is what we used to do) every day and twice on sundays.

I was going to post about the same thing. A win is a win. They even won scoring fewer points in a win than in any since 2006.

DA's primary mistake was continually going to Fitzgerald as the primary receiver but this was likely the coach's call. They had no timing nor could Fitzgerald go up for the ball as he often can. Breaston proved DA could move the ball. I agree, it is only a matter of time before Max Hall will be the QB but I think it is DA's job to lose after starting the season with a win. DA might surprise.

I think our former hall of fame QB has spoiled us a little bit. Andersone had a pretty good first half--10-14, I think--and suddenly the Rams started throwing the house out there in blitzes. Granted they were blitzing earlier in the game too, but suddenly they were blitzing more often with more players and we weren't picking it up at all. Add to that that Whis didn't help Anderson out one bit in play calling a few of the traditional blitz-breakers, like screens or quick outs to receivers--I think there was 2 of said plays the entire half. I mean, not many QBs facing death after 1.2 seconds are going to look solid.

I'm not saying he was great out there or that I'm terribly optimistic about the future with DA, but let's not lynch him after this game, eh?

Zeno. maybe we can trade next years #1 to get him back.

Just took anther look at the schedule. Could be 5/11.

Is Whis's contract guaranteed?

:lmao: Just stop. Maybe we should trade our entire draft to get back the beloved Matt Leinart.

The guy throws for 297 yards, one TD, no int., and is ranked Week One above Favre, Rogers, Schaub, McNabb and the rookie whose butt he just beat, Bradford. In fact, after this week's game, he's ranked above half the quarterbacks in the league.

Maybe we should just let him play and see how he does instead of throwing him under the bus for what he's done in the past.

Again it is all about the opponent. Farve played against the defending SB Champs 13-3 last year. Rogers against the Eagles 11-5 last year, Schaub the Colts 14-2 and Bradford against the best Safety tandem in the NFL.
