He pointed out his trans friend who stuck up for him after his last special and doing so she was bullied online by that same community she was a part of and then killed herself.

I agree with what he said. You have a right to be who you are that’s fine but another person has a right to not agree with your choice you need to respect that persons rights just as much as they need to respect yours.

Bottom line for me is that a lot of what he says is hurtful and can easily fuel a lot of hate and hate crimes. He knows this, he has gotten this feedback, and he persists. So, yeah, he's part of the problem.

It's past the point of apologizing. He's just being an ******* now. Same can be said about JK Rowlings. They won't get any of my time or money. I've considered canceling Netflix over their support for Chapelle. Entities that spread hate don't get money from me, and there are tons of other options on the marketplace. And to follow up, it is my opinion. I can see why people have an opposing view on this, but I think that view is born out of misunderstanding and prejudice.


As a gay man, 5-30 years ago these discussions were about ME. That gay men shouldn't be allowed to be married. That gay men were evil spawn and should be executed.

When you use cancel culture as a line, you know you are wrong. Holding people accountable for their actions is what it is in reality. And yes, he did say that trans should be treated differently. His special was homophobic, racist and transphobic.
