I think they were unsophisticated people lead astray by religion.

But let me get this straight, you’re trying to equate people banding together to boycott a person or product with which they disagree to people banding together to kill someone? There’s a difference between exercising your might as a consumer and murdering people. One is rightly so a crime and the other is not.
Times change. Murder is less acceptable these days. Plenty of death wishes to go around on the internet though, even in this subject. "sophistication" is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm moderate. I don't wish death on anyone. I'm not a line in the sand on either side of this coin and I refuse to do so. Chappelle has the right to tell his jokes. People have the right to be offended. No big deal.

Right and based on being offended they are allowed to find others that are offended and voice their opinion that they are offended and think someone should not be given the platform. They are not allowed to kill anyone.

So I’ll repeat my question: why would you equate the two scenarios? They are not equivalent.

They can think to deplatform all they want. No one stopping them.

No need to continue. I have zero passion for this topic.

Meanwhile, there are two extremely anti-Semitic jokes being completely overlooked because one crowd is louder than another.

Chappelle is wrong, but he has the right to say it. And he is damn funny sometimes. Comedy is still a safe space for expression IMO. If you don't tune in, he doesn't get airtime anymore.
