I love Tipp, but who throws out Doan and Gordo before the Korpedo in a SO?? :bang:

Still, a huge point in a damn tough arena. They could've easily packed it in after the Booth goal, but they stuck with the system and really cranked it up in the second half of the third.

I'm fine with the effort and if they can keep it up, we'll make the post season.

These shootout loses are tough to take. Glad they got a point but they sure have wasted a lot of opportunities this year in overtime.

0-0 after one period at LA but wow, lots of action, mostly in fighting. If you're not watching, turn it on to see who goes at it next.

One of the most hard fought wins of the year for the Coyotes. Vrbata scores again, he's been incredible. Smith was huge as well, two shutouts in a row.

Smith was a monster in that game ...... i don't think anyone is missing bryz at this point and smith seems to be a great guy in the room ..... loved how he stood up after the extra shot to his helmet - then some great saves after pretty sloppy mistakes left pucks on his doorstep

Absolutely idiotic penalty by Rozsival near the end - just can't do that

Overall, a strong, hard fought game ..... very good on faceoffs and a big win against a division opponent also fighting for their season

25 games left - 24 against the western conference with many of those within the division ...... 11 of the remaining games are against teams currently "in" the playoffs - this is the boomerang for a very tough front schedule - they need to keep this going and continue to push themselves up above this chase pack

If you just looked at the score in the paper, you would have no idea what a great game that was last night! Playoff hockey in February...be still my heart.

I really hope Rusty is going to be ok, we can't afford to lose him for long.

Vrbata's incredible season continues, his OT goal was ridiculous. He fakes the goalie Lehtonen on his stomach then roofs it for the winner.

Another great game. Who would of thought in the beginning of the year that we would be happier at this point with Smith than with Bryz?

What a game!!! Down 3-0 in the first, the Coyotes come back and tie it on Vrbata's power play goal late in the third and win it in a shootout. Boedker got the game-winning shot in the shootout.

By the way, Kyle Clifford is a dirty player and will get suspended on his cheap shot.

Boedker's move is devastating. I could watch him do that all the time. I hope he gets some breakaways in regulation time and brings that move. Wow!

Incredible effort, the kind that they've had the last two seasons that was missing earlier this year. Vrbata is now 4th in the entire NHL in goals. And Boedker's move is ridiculously good. He has so much talent that you wonder why he can't seem to always put it together.

Down 2-0 on the road at Calgary after one period, the Coyotes come back and win 4-3 in a shootout. Smith has won nine in a row!.

Coyotes beat Edmonton 3-1 and are in first place, but they have played three more games than San Jose. Smith gets another win today.

SJ lost to Nashville, so for at least one night the Coyotes are in sole possession of first in the division.

Minnesota erased a deficit late to beat San Jose, so the Coyotes hold on to first place :yotes:

Coyotes do it again as they get revenge on Vancouver and beat them in a shootout. Whitney tied the game up 1-1 in the third period and then Boedker got the game winner in the shootout. Also, it is sounding like a broken record but Smith played great once again.

By the way, great crowd tonight as they got over 16,000. Easily the biggest crowd for a weeknight game this season.

Heavy on vancouver fans though ..... either way, good to see some energy in the building

As a sharks fan, their recent horrible play combined with the coyotes hot streak is making things interesting ...... I really don't mind though as I really want to see the coyotes do well

Amazing month they just completed - firmly in the thick of things now ... could see them maybe grabbing the 3 seed or at worse be in serious contention for that 5-6 spot (I don't see anyone knocking the the 2nd place team of st. louis/detroit from the 4 seed and even nashville may be tough to catch for the 5 ...... 3/6 could be interesting as it would potentially align for a SJ/Phx 1st round showdown - which I would actually hate)

11-0-1 should get them some local attention in a slow sports period ....... if they were able to add on some concrete ownership information right now, you could see a strong push towards the offseason and a ton of excitement

About time people started paying attention to this team. They're far more entertaining than the Suns, and at least you can stomach watching them.

Bad loss last night to Calgary. The Flames scored 3 first period goals and held on to win 3-2. Luckily San Jose lost 1-0 to Buffalo.

Yeah pretty weak goals, at least the two I saw. They have been playing poor first periods, and this one cost them. Time to right the ship right away.

One of the worst losses of the year as the Coyotes lose to Columbus, the worst team in the western conference, 5-2. Disappointing and pathetic.

I guess the Coyotes don't want to make the playoffs because they just lost again to the lowly Blue Jackets for the second time in less than a week. For the season they are 0-3 to Columbus, the worst team in the Western Conference. :bang:
