I just read on AZ Republic (AZ Central.com) that Rosen has been getting most of his reps in practice with first team so going from that to the JV OL that is the second team will make anyone look bad. Wilks said after the game that Rosen will be getting more time with 1st team OL the rest of preseason and as early as the NO game. He made a couple of nice throws but SD was in the backfield just as much as Rosen was.

Impossible to rate behind the protection he got.

Isolated he was neither Good nor bad. But Very positive showing as he didn’t crumble under pressure

We need Mitch to interpret body language, as he was the best at finding great meaning in posture, etc. But - I saw a smirk that clearly shows he doesn't care.

For me is was more of a problem of having to take his eyes off the defense in order to field the grounders from the center. NO game will see an improvement, hopefully.

He ha some good throws, but the WR and the O-line were horendous ... Greg Little showed why he was out of job ... you have to catch that balls at least 3 first downs he blew. JJ Nelson droped a perfect pass...

But overall, his first outing wasn't what we all hoped for, but we saw what he can do, he has a good arm, he is accurate, he threw well even after bad snaps and showed that he tries hard and wants to help his team.

Rosen to me looked like a early Rodgers ... hopefully he will excel.

But for now, he isn't the best Rookie QB.

I think he played pretty well considering how the rest of the team played around him. I can't for the life of me understand how Munyer stayed in so long and they never even played Evan Boehm one snap at center. Munyer should be released now so no other QB has to deal with his play.

Let Rosen get some playing time with the first unit and I think we will be much happier with how he performs.

Exactly. I have never seen such a pathetic display of football basics as that center put on in the 2nd quarter. It's a small miracle we had no turnovers.

I actually thought he played pretty well. That pass early where he side-stepped pressure, kept his eyes down field then had his feet set and fired a laser down the middle of the field showed traits a lot of rookies don't have. Also thought Little should have come down with that back shoulder throw down the sideline. Jj Nelson had a Jj Nelson drop but you can't hold that against Rosen. I thought he looked good. Not great, still needs to speed up sometimes, and had some high throws but all in all I was encouraged. Whether a Center decides to field him grounders, or WRs decide not to catch a ball can't be held against him. I don't think he should start, and I don't think he was fantastic, but for his part he was fine.

Kid has poise for days and didn't get rattled. Combine that with the fact even under pressure, throwing from a collapsing pocket with less than 2 seconds, he was still delivering catchable balls was pretty great. And he didn't throw his center under a bus after the game, but just played it cool. He's the anti-Ryan Leaf.

Yeah, this game is all about how Rosen handled adversity from poor play from his oline and especially the center. Hell, he had to play shortstop almost every single shotgun snap before he could play QB. Yet, he kept his cool, and looked the ball into his hands FIRST before he could even think of looking downfield.

With the bad snaps, I gave Rosen an "A" as a shortstop. :wink2:

For a first game I couldn't ask for much more. He needs an offensive line and a center to show more of his game.
Which is why I hope the Cardinals let him sit (for the year) and not throw him into the fire right away. It makes no sense in throwing Rosen in a game with this leaky o-line. Stay healthy Bradford, stay healthy.:)

Also I think the key for both QBs is getting rid of the ball quickly. Kurt Warner was good at this. Neither can afford to be pounded by a heavy pass rush.
