I'm sure you can ferret out some interesting (& useless) information out of all this.

I think ferret is the word I was looking for, you nailed it

Because it is my job and numbers and historical data is the best predictor of future behavior and results. It is able to determine when a death or accident will happen for each driver or healthy person if you look in deep.

Who do you work for to come up with such trival stats? Wait, do you work in Washington DC?

After much research I have a disturbing item that may need minor mention. Winners are most important to bring to a team. It is true, however that six of our seven draft picks were losers in their final big college game.

Only Virginia tech was on the winner legend in the bowl game. All others lose. We must learn a way to instill a new attitude to these players. Then our mock draft will be successful for sure.

nazaquad -

While you may be certainly be a good analyst and appreciate your effort in assimilating into the American culture, you have a simplistic view of football and the factors that effect the outcome of a game. There is a saying in America - A team can win on any given Sunday. That statement is a fact. If one could use predictors to determine the success of a team, Las Vegas would be full of analysts/statisticians and operation research fellow. Unfortunately, Las Vegas is filled with gamblers trying their luck. I know 'cos I live there.

Like you, I came here 20 years ago to study at ASU. I enjoyed learning football and had the privelege to see ASU win Rose Bowl in '87.

Enjoy the game and stop the analysis. Learn the nuances of the game and it will be more fun.

this is rediculous speculation....very rediculous-so matt leinhart loses his last game. Does this automatically mean all 38 of his other wins dont count and that he is gonna be a bust because he loses one game...come on dude

So it was Leinart's fault that USC's defense was mediocre?

In case you didn't notice the USC offense did quite well, their defense just couldn't stop Vince Young.

I'm sorry brother but their is key data that you are ignoring.

The players we drafted came from winning programs and competed fpr championships. They are not used to losing, it's not in their DNA.

Leinart won 2 championships and competed for another. By your logic we should draft Brad Smith over him because he won his final bowl game. This particular statistal analysis is very weak. The first 4 players come form dominate programs, look at their records.
