This is what I am dubbing this secondary. As a Cardinal fan we have seen guys like Adrian Wilson, Chuck Cecil and Aeneas Williams have no qualms about laying the wood on someone but this current secondary is shaping up to be overall most feisty group of guys in franchise history. Murphy, Budda, Marco, Thompson and now Gladney... undersized as a whole, but all luv to hit

We’ll be all stoked over having a DB room of big hitters…

...until an opposing DC shows up with a. bunch of tall guys who can high-point.

Huh? Buddha has great form and technique. Nowhere remotely close to even being in that conversation…
Thats debatable… he leads with his head far to often literally puts his crown down and the top of his head is parallel to the ground quite often.

We have a real young core if things pan out.

Collins 23
Simmons 24
Thompson 24
Baker 26
Gladney 25
Murphy 24
Wilson 23

(Age when season starts)

Our back 7 average age is 24.14.

Zach Allen will be 25.

From there it goes down hill a bit. But 8 of our starting 11 on defense will be 26 or under.

Now people are going to pivot from "Need to get younger" to "Need more experience" :bang:

If Gladney can be half as violent to opposing receivers as he was to his ex gf…
Tell me why you are even allowed to post, because apparently you were there and failed to testify, meaning you should be in jail for obstructing justice... should you not feel a tad guilty for not then affecting the jury which proclaimed him innocent

this wasn't a "settled outside of court *wink* *wink*" situation, he actually had a jury trial and was found not guilty.

Tell me how you can be a grown adult in modern day America with such little comprehension of our legal system?
1) that would in no way, shape or form be obstruction of justice
2) OJ was found not guilty by a jury too.
3) I implore you to read up on the case a bit.

We have the best judicial system on earth but it’s hardly perfect. Guilty are set free and innocent are found guilty daily. I read up on this case a bit.

Not going to say either. I’ll say other than JT and BB and to a lesser extent Byron, every player listed hasn’t proven they belong in the league yet and some already give concern that they don’t.

Having such a young core is also the product of not drafting well, thus having to draft a young core again.

I truly hope you’re right though because that would lead to a fun team to watch for the future.

Personally I’m cautiously optimistic about that core. The only thing that holds me back is that none are really frontline players (Allen is playable but that’s about it imo) and other than budda, none have shown even an inkling of being a stud or star despite my hope for Simmons and Collins.

Jalen Thompson was all-pro level last year. Most underrated safety in the league. Agree with most everything else though
